🌟 Hackathon Success: Embracing the "Useless" Project with Tinkerhub! 🌟 I’m thrilled to share that my team and I just wrapped up our first hackathon organized by Tinkerhub, and we decided to have a little fun with our project. We challenged ourselves to create something entirely “useless” yet entertaining. Introducing our Funny Random Quote Generator website! 🎉😂 In a world where every app claims to solve serious problems, we took a different route. Our project is all about delivering laughter and inspiration through a collection of hilariously random quotes that are sure to brighten your day (or at least make you chuckle). 😄💬 Here are a few key takeaways from this hackathon experience: 1. Creativity Over Practicality: Sometimes, the most fun projects are the ones that don’t take themselves too seriously. 🎨 2. Team Collaboration: Working with my amazing teammates reminded me of the power of diverse ideas and perspectives in crafting something unique. 🤝 3. The Open League Hackathon: Battle for $2,000,000 Hello everyone! I attended a hackathon and unexpectedly found myself on the Tonchi team. In this post, I’ll share what we managed to accomplish, how far we progressed, and what we achieved in the end. The offline part of the hackathon took place from June 7 to 9, where participants got acquainted, formed teams, shared ideas, and showcased their projects. The latter were evaluated by the judges to distribute the prize fund. Initially, I didn’t plan to participate, but a chance meeting with Gulnaz, the founder of the web3 edtech platform "Tonchi," changed everything. She had problems that needed urgent solutions. There were only 5 days left before the initial selection. The team had screens in Figma, a bot with a welcome message, and an urgent need for a team leader — a multitool. This offer was too tempting to refuse, and I immediately agreed. What followed was a real storm: coding, team management, cutting functionality, reshuffling the team and technology stack. We released the MVP just a few hours before the deadline. The judges’ evaluation placed us in the top 100 out of 1500 teams. Success! But only the top 24 receive prizes. The judges gave participants a few more days for refinements and bug fixes. By then, we had: a bot with various commands, a web application, and TMA — an app adapted for Telegram. We improved the design, enhanced monetization, attracted our first users, set up monitoring, and added additional features. And all this in just 3 days. Holding our breath, we awaited the results. The result — we made it to the top 50... but, unfortunately, didn’t reach the prize places. Although the outcome wasn’t commercially successful, the experience gained, networking, offline speeches, testing my skills in various areas, and meeting like-minded people were invaluable. Hackathon Highlights I recently had the opportunity to participate in TinkerHub's Useless Projects Hackathon. This unique experience encouraged us to push creative boundaries and develop something truly unconventional. Project: RantSpace Our team created RantSpace—a dedicated platform for people to share their thoughts and frustrations freely, with no judgment, advice, or filters. It’s a space designed purely for venting, aimed at offering relief and embracing the lighter side of expression. From brainstorming unique ideas to bringing our concept to life, this hackathon was a fantastic experience that allowed us to learn, build, and collaborate in a refreshingly different way. Many thanks to TinkerHub for organizing an event that challenges the typical purpose of projects and reminds us of the joy in creating for the sake of creativity. Excited to Share My Recent Hackathon Experience! 🚀 At the beginning of the month, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Ulcinno Hackathon. It all started when our idea was selected as one of the top 5 ideas for implementation. This recognition led to our team being invited to Ulcinj, the host city of the Hackathon, alongside four other teams. Upon our arrival, we had just two days to develop our application. Despite the tight timeframe, we managed to implement a significant portion of our planned features! Our application aims to simplify the creation of personalized tourist tours. With just a minute, users can create a one-day tour from various activities! The experience was immensely rewarding. We gained invaluable skills in teamwork, leveraging available resources, and task/time management. We also gained a deeper understanding of hackathon and startup processes. It was an incredibly beneficial experience. A few weeks later, our team was invited to present at an internal company event as speakers to share our experiences. 🚀 I Just Participated in Hackwars 2024! 🦸♂️💻 I recently took part in Hackwars, an exciting superhero-themed hackathon that brought together developers, designers, students, and tech enthusiasts to solve real-world problems through creativity and collaboration! 🌟 🔍 What is Hackwars? Hackwars is a unique hackathon where participants work in teams to develop innovative solutions inspired by superhero themes. It focuses on fostering teamwork, promoting creativity, and enhancing technical skills to solve challenges in areas like HealthTech, EduTech, FinTech, AgriTech, Smart Cities, GreenTech, and Social Impact. 🌱🏙️ 💡 Why I Joined: • Collaboration: Worked with a fantastic team of like-minded innovators, and learned how important it is to combine technical and creative minds. • Learning: Hands-on experience with new tools and problem-solving approaches in an intense, fast-paced environment. • Innovation: Pushed the boundaries of thinking, with superhero inspiration driving out-of-the-box ideas! • Networking: Connected with passionate participants, mentors, and industry professionals that I’ll be staying in touch with. 💼🤝 🏆 Our Project: In the first stage of the competition, my team and I developed a project that addressed [E-Governance theme]. While we weren’t selected to advance, the experience was invaluable!
