Calling on Kroger was another collaborative event hosted by NextUp Cincinnati which brought together CPG experts with leaders from Kroger and 84.51˚ to discuss evolving retail strategies and customer expectations. Just returned from Groceryshop 2024! WOW. What an event. We got some face time with Rockbot customers like Walmart & Sam's Club, Wakefern Food Corp., and Vallarta Supermarkets >> learned about the future of grocery retail >> played "unified omnichannel" bingo >> and wrapped with a Ja Rule concert (see video for Garrett Dodge rockin' out) & view of the Tropicana demolition! Thrilled to hear that in-store media is becoming more of a focus for grocers, as it's been neglected since the pandemic. Now that online Retail Media has been established, offline & in-store channels are the next frontier for innovation and growth. Some really eye-opening stats: - 80% of purchases are still happening in-store - Shoppers are spending 70% more when digitally engaged, even in-store - 68% of consumers appreciate ads in-store, 43% look for guidance from displays when buying - Implementing digital screens on end caps drew in significantly more traffic, leading to 4x sales lift - Beyond trade activities project to be 30-50% of margin by 2030 Rockbot has been powering in-store media networks since 2009.
