the Nonprofit Chamber’s Post

As tariff drama continues to unfold, leading to uncertainty and concern in the nonprofit sector and industries across Canada, if there’s one thing we can continue to do throughout this period, it is coming together as a community. Canadians have a long history of coming together in times of crisis. During World War I and II, families across the country created Victory Gardens. These vegetable gardens were designed to alleviate food shortages and foster a sense of pride and solidarity. Victory Gardens weren’t just about growing food, they were about growing resilience and showing that, no matter the challenge, we win when we lift each other up. So, whether it’s shopping Canadian, supporting local businesses, volunteering at a local nonprofit, or planting vegetables, now is the time to unite as a community. Let's continue the tradition of supporting one another, no matter the obstacles ahead.
