💡Navigating Magazine Features: What You Need to Know As NP Student® continues to grow, we recognize the need for education on the general rules surrounding magazine features. Here are some key points to consider: ✅Interviews Are Complimentary: When someone reaches out to conduct an interview, there is no charge for your participation. This is a standard practice in the industry and reflects the mutual benefit of sharing insights and stories. *Sponsored Features are a separate service. ✅Initial Zoom Meetings: While in-person interviews are ideal for exclusive features, we often find that initial meetings via Zoom can be just as beneficial—especially if it’s our first time connecting. Here are a few advantages of interacting over video: ✨Personal Connections ✨Engaged Dialogue ✨Convenience and Accessibility ✅Amplifying Your Voice: Engaging in these interviews sets you apart as an industry leader or expert, whether you represent an organization, industry, or institution. By sharing your unique experiences and insights, you not only enhance your visibility but also contribute to the broader narrative of our community. As we continue to spotlight the voices that matter in our field, let's embrace this opportunity to connect and share our stories. If you're interested in being featured or have questions about the process, don't hesitate to reach out! https://lnkd.in/ef_jBZ8W

Turbocharging Career Advice for Young People: Key Takeaways from My Talk Radio Interview 🚀 I had the fantastic opportunity to discuss the Labour Party's plan to turbocharge career advice for young people on talk radio. Here are the core points I shared: Move Away from Fear: Let's help young people overcome the fear of failure and the fear of not being successful. Fear should not dictate their futures! Build Belief and Trust Instincts: There is a huge amount of opportunity out there. We must instill a sense of belief in young people's potential and possibilities, encouraging them to trust their instincts and believe in themselves. Motivation Over Information: We live in the information age, yet the growing number of young people classified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) stems not from a lack of information, but from a lack of motivation driven by fear and uncertainty. Evolving Careers: Remind them that careers evolve over time. Interests and passions may change, and that's okay! 🎧 Watch the 4 minute interview to hear me make these points! 🎧 https://lnkd.in/eSZAVwWM Let's keep the conversation going! Share your thoughts and experiences on empowering young people in their career journeys. How do you think we can best support them? Comment below and let's discuss! 👇 #CareerAdvice #YouthEmpowerment #FearlessFuture #LabourParty #CareerGrowth #TrustYourInstincts #MotivationMatters #EvolvingCareers

If you’re Open to Work and are struggling to land your next career opportunity, this 1 strategy can help generate the results you’re looking for! Try this! Send a LinkedIn connection request to the employee who posted the job at your target client followed by a 60-second intro video message. Video message? Yes, video message! Nearly 40% of all jobs posted on LinkedIn will include the LinkedIn profile of the job poster. If the job does not show who posted the role, go to the Company page on LinkedIn, select the People tab, and on the search bar type “Talent Acquisition” or “Human Resources” and reach out to the primary contact that appears and send a connection request. Once your LinkedIn connection request is accepted, send a brief 60-second video message with the note: “I’ve applied to “X” position. Let me know your thoughts on this brief video message!” The video is intended to capture the attention of the recipient. When employers review resumes you have a 3-second opportunity to capture their attention, biggest challenge is, you’re competing against thousands of resumes where if your resume doesn’t align with the employers keyword searches for the opportunity, you’ll never be given a chance to connect. When humans connect with video, we’re 10X times more likely to engage in dialogue while you, as the candidate, differentiate yourself from the pool of thousands of applicants. The video message should include 3 components: - Brief intro stating who you are and why you’re connecting. - Identify one challenge your prospective employer is facing and address how you can provide the solution. - Call To Action. Example script below: Brief Intro: Hi Jim, my name is Eddy Hernandez, good morning. I applied to the Corporate Recruiter position at “X” company and was hoping you could help point me in the right direction. Problem you can solve: I noticed “X” company has numerous positions that have remained open for over 90 days. During my time at “Y” company, I was able to reduce our average time to fill ratio for corporate positions from 57 days to 29 days within 12 months by utilizing our ATS building pre-established candidate pipelines by skillset which helped reduce our timeline of our sourcing efforts by over 60% in just the first week, and launched LinkedIn messaging campaigns highlighting the key attributes shared by the hiring manager in addition to the job description. These actions reduced the need for increased spend and led to over $400k in cost savings. Call To Action: Could you share this video message with the hiring manager in hopes we can schedule an interview? Sample video below! 95% of people are active on at least one social media outlet, and resort to video as their primary form of engagement. Why not utilize this opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and send them a video! Let's create your first video message today! TalentoHC #BuildYourBestTeamYet
