It will be brilliant to share this focused time with you. This is your moment to pause and notice what's driving your decision-making from both a bottom-up and top-down perspective. We will have discussed and established: What are the practices you commit to as a leader with the aim of 10/10 and clearer actions that bring clarity to your legacy; & What is behind your decision making the physiological outcomes of your autopilot inner dialogue. Come with curiosity about becoming a better version of yourself, and leave with the skills to create it.

I get it.... The way we find ourselves overthinking every detail, anticipating the unknown until we know it. I get it..... I am in this very hour (1:44am CST), overprocessing my plan for the week. It happens every Sunday for the past 24 years. Pressure. If you’re anything like me—a recovering perfectionist—you know the struggle of trying to get everything just right. But here’s the thing: perfectionism can hold us back from truly growing, especially when it comes to building emotional intelligence. Perfectionism isn’t just about high standards; it’s about fear—fear of failure, fear of success, fear of judgment, fear of not being enough, fear of not knowing enough, even fear of having too much.... But guess what? #Emotionalintelligence is all about embracing our imperfections, understanding our emotions, and using that #awareness to connect with others in a more authentic way. When we let go of the need to be perfect, we open ourselves up to real growth. We become better listeners, more #empathetic leaders, and stronger collaborators. By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, we create space for true #connection and #personaldevelopment. Hey peacemaker, are you ready to take the first step? 📈 Here’s a simple challenge: the next time you catch yourself aiming for perfection, pause and ask, “What am I afraid of?” Then, give yourself permission to be human. Write it down, vlog it, whatever you need to do, just get it out. Next, share your journey in the comments below—let’s support each other in building emotional intelligence one step and one comment at a time. The worst thing you can do as a leader is neglect emotional growth. It’s not enough to focus on skills—without emotional resilience, your team may struggle to handle challenges. Emotional Resilience Here’s how to help your team become more emotionally strong: 1. Create reflective space: Encourage open conversations about emotional responses. 2. Teach coping strategies: Help them navigate stress and setbacks. 3. Be patient: Offer mentorship that focuses on personal development, not just professional skills. 4. Celebrate growth: Acknowledge their emotional progress, just like you would with skill-building. Teams that are emotionally resilient handle challenges better and grow faster. Start investing in their emotional growth today. P.S. I've opened spots for two leaders of small to medium sized businesses that employ skilled blue-collar workers over the next 6-12 months. My coaching has helped my past clients enhance their leadership skills and overcome challenges. You'll receive personalized strategies and dedicated support. You will make more money, have more discretionary time and become the leader you and your team would want to follow. To be considered, schedule a free call: [Book a call](https://lnkd.in/gFniWyZP)

As the golden days of early September take us deeper into autumn, with all it’s energy and urges for soup, sweaters, and spooky celebrations… Now is the perfect time to remind yourself that you are a conscious choice-maker. As we transition to the cozy darkness of winter season, What rhythms, contracts, patterns, and era in your life is ready to come to a natural end? What wisdom do you want to harvest from this ‘season of your life’? What elements do you want to source & stoke? (e.g. courage, calmness, clarity) What’s the weight or quality of the energy, frequency, or vibe you want to carry? What do you want to create? Express? Protect? Conjure? Where might you need to shore up or let out your energy, and how might you start planting seeds for that surplus now? You are your greatest asset. The more energy you invest in discovering and liberating the most authentic, daring, and conscious version of you – the more your capacity to live a Big Life grows. You begin to convert knowledge to wisdom, fear to courage, and work more from source than from effort. Your creativity and resilience expand, and you begin to see the results of creating and leading from a grounded, purposeful place. Btw… If your organization needs a leadership development session that helps participants vigilantly explore their authentic, leaderful self and find the edges of their wildest potential, I’m the one for you! DM me with details and dates, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Don't bring your personal life to work if you are a leader! Something that was said during a workshop I was facilitating on Friday. For context the person who said this was clearly a good leader, fully engaged and open to learn. But he made a fatal mistake in this statement, one that many of us get wrong, that leadership and life must be kept separate. Both myself and one of his colleagues politely interjected to disagree, that we actually felt that you had no choice but to bring your personal life into your leadership. The ability to separate your personal needs and your leadership commitments are, for some, a grey area. But I think your personal life should be a source of empathy for those that you lead and a source of skill development. For example, if you are having a rough time at home for any reason, but you try and compartmentalise that when you have your 'leadership hat' on, you are causing friction within yourself. Under the wrong pressure that friction will be released like the movement of a tectonic plate, and we all know what happens in mother nature then. While I appreciate this is a nuanced topic, my conclusion is that when you use your 'real world' emotions and experiences to inform your leadership, it enables you to be more aware, more self-reflective and where appropriate, more empathetic. My response to him in summery - 'Leadership is human first. The moment your forget that, the moment you cease being a leader.' How will you use your personal experiences to leader your people more effectively this week?
