This talk will provide a high-level summary of clinical trial data analytic strategies for primary, secondary, exploratory efficacy endpoints, and safety analysis. 📌 The estimand concept will be discussed with examples. 📌 Overall type I error rate control and missing data handling strategy in pivotal phase 3 trials will be emphasized for primary and key secondary endpoints analysis in a pivotal trial. 📌 Sensitivity or supportive analysis of primary endpoint will be discussed. 📌 An Alzheimer’s disease trial example will be used to illustrate clinical trial data analytic strategies. ⭐ About the Speaker: Deli Wang, Ph.D., MMed, is a Director of Statistics and Research Fellow in AbbVie. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biostatistics in 2004 from the University of Iowa, USA. His medical training in Beijing Medical University in China (currently Peking University Health Service Center) and statistical expertise give him a unique perspective for drug development. He is currently the statistical lead in new drug development for neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease and ALS. He has experience in design and conduct of Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas such as neurology, psychiatry, oncology, nephrology, and immunology. He is active in statistical methodology research and has published statistical methodology papers/book chapters on interim Go/No-Go decision-making methodology, multiplicity adjustment, and statistical methodology to demonstrate disease modification in neurodegenerative disease clinical trials.
