Today we are PROUD to announce a new partnership between Proud 2 Play and Disability Sports Australia. This partnership is about working together for greater inclusion in sport and recreation while also increasing awareness and support for people navigating disability and LGBTQIA+ identifies. Our organisations will work together on initiatives that include education and training programs to support organisations creating inclusive environments, collective advocacy efforts to create a more inclusive sporting landscape and collaborative storytelling highlighting the journeys of athletes and participants who embody the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and disability identities. We look forward to working together to ensure everyone, especially those with intersectional identities, feel safe, supported and welcome in sport.
