Meet Matthew Singh, one of more than 80 Pharmacy Technicians who make sure medications are well-stocked across SickKids and always ready for when a patient needs it. Matthew reviews how various medications are used and determines where and how they need to be stored across the hospital. For example, a patient undergoing chemotherapy may use more of a certain anti-nausea medication, so Matthew would ensure it's stocked in a medication dispensing cabinet on a cancer unit, but maybe not in other areas of the hospital. By reviewing data of how drugs get used on a daily basis, Matthew determines how much of each medication needs to be stocked on each unit. Pharmacy Technicians like Matthew work seven days a week to deliver medications across the hospital.
