The MAGA crowd are working class, so of course the more expensive imports will hurt them most. Trump promises to give them jobs instead. May be a bit late in the game to do this. No significant impact on US jobs or the targeted countries growth.

Economically speaking, tariff trade wars universally hurt the poor and middle-class consumers. Tariff fees are always passed onto end-user consumers in the form of higher purchase prices.
