Savoy Vineyard is located in the Anderson Valley north of Sonoma County. It's a historic California vineyard and considered by many to be one of the greatest vineyards for Pinot Noir in California. For me personally, one of the very first California Pinot noirs that I fell in love with was from Savoy, so the opportunity to work with it as a winemaker is is just incredible. One of the things that's so exciting about getting into Savoy was realizing that although the farming has been excellent throughout its history, there's even more that we can do. So the vineyard had been farmed organically for several years, but like with our other properties, we wanted to take it to the next level, which is regenerative organic. We found that by going beyond organic to regenerative, we're able to increase the health of the ecosystem, bring better balance to the vines, and in the end make the best wine that we can. Think that regeneratively farmed grapes provide energy and kind of excitement in the wines. And so we wanted to make sure that we're bringing that level of farming to Savoy as well. We believe that through this method of farming, we're going to be able to take this already iconic vineyard and make the quality of the fruit and the resulting wines even better.
