If I were the Head of Culture of my organisation, I would do the following on day 1: First understanding the Vision, Mission and the Values of the company is very important, it helps in creating a thriving work environment for the management and employees, assess the employees needs to provide valuable insight into their processes for productivity. Have listening and learning sessions with the employees at all levels to understand their perception on the company’s culture, their challenges and aspirations for the organisation as this will help in identifying the areas of improvement on the culture. As an HR officer, on the Company induction I make sure to go through the company culture for the new employees joining the company to understand the company’s culture and that helps to work as one in reaching the company’s goal. ♥️ Zukhanye Sotapu Zanele Faith Mhlaba

I would sit around the table and enjoy a good cup of coffee and let the team just breath. Take away that, "I'm the leader and want this and that, this is my way and I have an open door policy line. No it's time to change the narrative but still be professional and friendly. I want to be that person my team will feel comfortable coming to, lets discuss what their current challenges are and how they would like things to be done differently. Not making promises to them and after meeting with the Boss only squash that trust. Let's drink that coffee and talk.
