My name's Nikki. My chapter is about what I've learned in Wildlife Conservation in a world that's sidelines, nature, and particularly wildlife, is something that's just nice to have. And one thing I've learned is that I really value nature. It's really hard for a lot of people to see it, but everything that we do, everything that we live and breathe really depends on nature and ecosystem services that it provides us. And what what a lot of people don't realize is it's not just about the trees, but it's about the animals that move among them. So they do things like dispersing the seeds of those trees. That the ecosystem engineers. I hope that my chapter helps people to think about what they truly value because they might be surprised. And alongside reading the other chapters in the book, I hope that they'll find the courage to stand up for what they really value, as I realize that I need to do.
