I just accidentially came across some job adverts for a PCB designer role in Switzerland and Germany. I'm looking forward to the day where the hiring company would be so kind to tell what layout software they use. And no, saying Siemens/Mentor Graphics isn't quite good enough. Is it eXpedition, PADS Professional or PADS Layout you're using? Don't say Zuken - is it CR5000 or CR8000 or maybe Cadstar? Don't say Cadence, since it could be Allegro or OrCAD. If you're saying Altium it's easier to understand. And there's more tools that could have been mentioned. Why is it important to know for the applicant? It's a matter of the length of the learnig curve, and if the applicant really think it's worth applying for the job. Please do yourself a favour and be more specific.

The general PCB design process includes preliminary preparation, PCB structure design, PCB layout, wiring, wiring optimization, silk screen, network and DRC inspection, and plate making. Prior to starting the design, workers must sharpen their tools by preparing component libraries and schematics.#componentlibrary #layout #PCBDESIGN #placement #schematicdiagram

2D design is no longer sufficient for today’s complicated PCB layouts. New challenges such as flex and rigid-flex designs, and an increasing need for collaboration with MCAD, require advanced 3D layout design capabilities. https://sie.ag/4MGir7 #PCBDesign #ElectricalEngineering #Electronics

🌟 As I moved forward in my career, 💡 I quickly realized that designing with the future in mind was a critical aspect of success. 🔍 In the beginning, I often focused too much on immediate project requirements, missing the broader picture. 🛠️ As a PCB designer, I've faced my fair share of challenges. 🚗 Whether I was working on automotive, medical, or high-speed designs, I’ve learned that even small mistakes can lead to huge headaches later on. 📚 These lessons, learned through trial and error in my early years as a designer, have shaped the way I approach every project now. 🏢 Today, as a CEO running a company that specializes in high-quality PCB design, I often look back at those early mistakes and think about how far I’ve come. 💡 The knowledge I gained during those initial stages of my career has been invaluable, and I now pass those lessons on to my team and clients. 🔧 Over the years, I’ve made (and corrected) some common PCB design mistakes that many engineers encounter. 🚀 If you’re just starting out or looking to refine your designs, here are the lessons I’ve learned the hard way and the fixes that helped me improve my work. 📖 Let's dig in https://lnkd.in/gejffu_Z #engineering #innovation #professionaldevelopment #design #techtrends #careeradvice

Day 1 of my PCB Design Workshop and it’s been an electrifying experience so far! ⚡🚀 From drafting the circuit schematic to visualizing the 3D layout, I've got my hands deep into the world of PCB design. 🔧 This shows the circuit schematic I designed, followed by the board layout and finally, the 3D model of the PCB 🖥️. It’s fascinating to see how the components come together both on paper and in the virtual world. Can’t wait to see this translate into a physical board tomorrow! 🛠️ #PCBDesign #ElectronicsEngineering #InnovationInProgress #HandsOnLearning
