⚡️Another Day, Another Big News⚡️ We are excited to welcome Volt, a new startup, to our portfolio! The team has successfully closed a $3M seed round led by Mercury, with participation from our fund, Atento Capital, Uncorrelated Ventures, and Stout Street Capital. Volt is a Messaging Operations (Ops) infrastructure platform that enables enterprises to monitor the health of their SMS infrastructure without the need for in-house engineers or additional support from SMS providers. The platform automates the resolution of issues related to message delivery to customers and consolidates all of a company's SMS providers into a single interface. Volt's solution saves hundreds of hours for internal teams responsible for SMS infrastructure. "We were particularly impressed that no one in the US SMS infrastructure market had previously addressed the challenge of monitoring message delivery and identifying the causes of delivery failures: not SMS providers, aggregators, and telecom operators. Companies have had to do this manually, resulting in significant costs and inefficiencies. Volt's solution is a lifeline for large and mid-sized companies, allowing each customer to see the status of every SMS sent. Exciting news in the Data Center industry already this week! Blue Owl Capital have reached an agreement to acquire IPI Partners, a leading firm in data centers and digital infrastructure, for around $1 billion. The IPI platform has grown into one of the largest private US-based data center investors with a portfolio of 82 data centers comprising over 2.2GWs of leased capacity across the US, EMEA and APAC which will strengthen Blue Owl's digital infrastructure strategy. Alongside this H.I.G. Capital have joined forces with LIAN Group to invest in a brand new operator Polar, who are focusing on high-performance computing data centre's with projects already underway across Europe. VCTA member firm Maven Capital Partners has recently completed four successful exits, achieving returns of up to 5.1x for investors.   Exits across the last month have included a 5.1x return on Maven’s initial investment in MirrorWeb, a Manchester-based digital archiving and surveillance specialist, a 2.85x return from its exit of electronics contract manufacturer CB Technology Ltd, an exit from Edinburgh-based digital commerce platform QikServe, and a partial exit from Novatus Global, a RegTech provider. Bain Capital and Reverence Capital Partners acquire Envestnet, Inc for $4.5 billion #Bain Capital and #Reverence Capital announce their agreement to acquire #Envestnet, a leading #fintech provider of wealth management technology and data, in a deal valued at $4.5 billion. This acquisition, supported by a consortium of minority investors including BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, Franklin Templeton Investments, and State Street Global Advisors, underscores the significant value and potential of Envestnet’s platform. Founded in 1999, Envestnet’s software and data solutions are integral to wealth managers and banks, managing over $6 trillion in assets and nearly 20 million accounts. The platform is widely used by more than 109,000 financial advisors and is trusted by 16 of the 20 largest banks in the US, as well as 48 of the 50 biggest wealth management and brokerage firms. This broad adoption highlights Envestnet’s critical role in the financial services industry. The agreement, unanimously approved by Envestnet’s board, will provide shareholders with $63.15 in cash per share, and the deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter. This strategic move is poised to enhance Envestnet’s growth trajectory and expand its innovative offerings under the new ownership structure.
