“Christ’s whole message was about love and mercy and trust and dignity, not control and condemnation and hate and legal power. The Bible is a profoundly liberating story.” - The Rev. Hannah Atkins Romero of Trinity Episcopal Church in Houston, a Just Texas Reproductive Freedom Congregation (RFC) As the aggressive, Trump-fueled Christian right threatens the line between church and state around the country, a growing community of Christians are standing up and speaking out against it in Texas.

Though Sofia had been attending our camps for three years, she was always quiet and kept to herself. But this time, Sofia became engaged, showing interest in topics like marriage, relationships, and religion. She even stayed behind to talk more with camp leaders who led these discussions. At Camp Champion, a camp designed for teenagers, Sofia and the other teens learned about facing their fears, teamwork through sports, and breaking bad habits. One major focus of the camp was avoiding virtual dependency, so a no-phone policy was implemented. Surprisingly, many teens found they had more fun without their devices. The leaders also addressed the importance of steering clear of immoral websites and games. By the end of the camp, about ten teens openly confessed to mistakes they had made online. Sofia’s parents attend church in Poland, but she had always found reasons to avoid going. After camp, however, Sofia became more involved, started attending church, and sought out conversations with church leaders. At a post-camp meeting, her mother expressed heartfelt gratitude to the camp coordinator, overjoyed by the positive changes in her daughter. Help us train more Christian leaders like those who hosted this camp by supporting School Without Walls which equips the next generation to serve. Lest we forget. A terrible, heart wrenching story of the generational abuse of Native American children in Catholic churches and boarding schools by priests, brothers, nuns and sisters over 150 years. https://lnkd.in/gyAESeNU

To pastors: Pastor, would it be beneficial for you to have one person in your life to confide in who is not a member of your family or your congregation? What if this person was obligated by law and ethics to keep conversations private and confidential? Would it also be good to know if this person was formerly a pastor and has experiential knowledge of the unique stresses and strains of being a pastor? I am that person. I am a former pastor and a highly trained and experienced licensed professional clinical counselor. Pastors are dropping out of the ministry at a record pace. In 2023, George Barna reported that of the 523 senior pastors of protestant churches, 33% had considered quitting in the previous year, 60% significantly doubted their calling, and 25% seriously doubted their faith. Additionally, he found that 18% said that they had contemplated self-harm or suicide. Forty-three percent feel lonely, 29% reported that they were unhappy with how their role as a pastor has affected their family, and another 29% reported that they were not optimistic about the future of their church (https://lnkd.in/gEe8EAVK). Would you benefit from having someone who is an expert in pastoral and mental health issues, who understands the stresses and pressures of being a pastor, and who is highly trained to help you overcome them? Parents, Raising our daughters well in today's world is becoming more and more difficult. So far in my ongoing newsletter series I have covered our daughters' purpose in life and what we can do to help them fulfill it. Yesterday I published the third installment of this series: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 In this third installment, I dove into the first step on the path of discipleship—the crucial first step that perhaps many parents overlook when it comes to discipling their daughters. Men belonging to Baptist World Ministry churches and their affiliates (Korean Methodist Churches, United World Mission Churches, United Catholic Churches, and Presbyterian Churches) who send their children to schools run by these churches do the same with their sons. United Way Day Care Centers are amongst them. United Way Day Care Centers include La Petite Academy, Learning Care Centers, and Kiddie Academies, and Le Village Co-Work Academies. As World Baptist Ministry records reveal, each has at least one son and one daughter, each prides their eldest son and eldest daughter, and each abuses their other progeny. Sons other than their first are given names the men that begat them believe are amusing, are held back a year or more, and told they are "stupid", "dumb", "retarded", "embarrassments", and/or "sissys". Daughters other than the first are given names the men that begat them believe will dull the women to their eldest sibling. The wives of these men abuse these women with disparaging remarks about their intelligence, feed these girls cocca as a staple within their diet, and abuse these girls in public. Mean that rule these households claim they are The Father and bed their first-born daughters. The Baptist World Ministry is also known as the Baptist World Alliance and the Baptist World Mission. https://lnkd.in/gS3Dme-S #faith #freedom #health #wellness #wellbeing #recovery #scripture #endtime #endtimes #Armageddon #apocalypse #scripture #Baptist #BaptistWorldMinistry #BaptistWorldAlliance #BaptistWorldMission
As Lutheran World Federation records reveal, women that belong to Lutheran churches and send their children to schools run through the their churches have each given birth to more than 1 child. Each prides their eldest, and each has abused 1 or more of the other children they have given birth to. One of those children is always a daughter. Nortel Communications workers have access to the Lutheran World Federation's digital archive and can attest to these facts. The mothers give the daughters names they believe will tarnish their beauty. They also hold these daughters back a year or more in school and tell the daughters they are "dumb", "stupid", "retarded", "mistakes", and/or "inferior". As the daughters themselves can attest, the men that begat are also members of these churches and each has attempted to molest them upon multiple occasions. #faith #health #wellness #wellbeing #recovery #scripture #endtime #endtimes #Armageddon #apocalypse #scripture #Lutheranism #LutheranChurch

Aging With Dignity has a new companion guide to its popular Five Wishes advance directive, Finishing Life Faithfully: A Guide for Catholics on End-of-Life Care. The 28-page booklet summarizes the Catholic Church’s guidance on end-of-life decision-making and the ethical considerations involved. It helps patients and families better understand these beliefs and to better follow them. The FLF guide has received numerous endorsements from major church clergy and leaders. For non-Catholics, the guide is a good, footnoted overview of traditional western thought on end-of-life topics. https://ow.ly/j7VR50SzzMb #finishinglifefaithfully #fivewishes #catholics #catholicteaching #endoflifeteachings
