Double success in Munich! 🏆 This week, tesa was not only awarded the #MMKAward2025 for our Debonding on Demand technology. Our paper-based adhesive tapes for corrugated and paperboard cartons also won the ICE Award in the Sustainability category at ICE Europe 2025! 🥇 The packaging and shipping of goods continue to rise – as does the demand for lightweight and sustainable packaging that still provides optimal protection. This is exactly where our tesa 51345 comes in: It reinforces cartons at sensitive points like side hole and flap handles, while also contributing to greater sustainability in the packaging industry. The tape is produced using a solvent-free coating process with a paper backing from sustainably managed sources and a core made from 100% recycled paper. And the best part: It can be disposed of together with the cardboard material without affecting the recycling process. Our commitment to sustainability is a central part of our strategy. By 2030, we aim to increase the share of recycled and bio-based materials in our products to 70% and reduce the use of non-recycled fossil-based plastics by half. This award recognizes our efforts towards sustainability and inspires us to continue developing innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.
