One of the best parts of my job is to meet awesome people and to recognise their success and achievements. The CDLS Commendations have been running for a few years now, but for 2024/25 we expanded the awards to encompass the contribution our industrial partners make to Defence outputs as well. This week we recognised 6 incredible teams. They represent the very best of the innovative and ground breaking work being undertaken right across industry, from alternative energy to AdM, from support to the Ukrainian armed forces and modelling and analytics. Such close partnerships and collaboration with industry are critical as we look to respond to a much more dangerous and uncertain world. 2wIt was fantastic to be a part of this, and have the opportunity to see first hand - through the nominations as well as the deserving winners - just how much real, tangible progress we are making in areas that seemed fanciful only a few years ago.
