Pretty eventful Q4 related to my fiction writing. I am grateful that editors find my fiction pieces worth sharing with their audiences. 1) My story "Faith" just went live on the Barehill Review. This was rejected about a dozen times previously (from other publications), but I knew that it just needed to find the right editors and readers. One of my personal favorites and very different from the other stories that I write...and yet, not so different. I always wanted to write a story that involved alchemy. I've edited 14 reels in 2 weeks Here's 3 insights for you 👇 Don't make my mistakes pls, read this 💎 1. Hook 💎 This is the part that makes up 80% of your reel success. Here is a 5-question checklist I follow when making a hook 👇 - Does it share anything interesting or valuable? - Does the music go together with the mood of reel? - Does the pacing feel natural? - Is it easy to understand? (Optional): - Would the viewer be stunned with graphics? 👁 2. Length 👁 This is something I was failing at for quite some time Longer ≠ more valuable ❗ Try to avoid empty talk and repeated idea said twice or more ❗ Sometimes 30 second reels are better than 60 second. 🔱 3. Call to Action (CTA) 🔱 I still mess up with this a lot 😅 I try to give as much value to the viewer as possible But I do not add any call to action in the end And it is not something like "Follow me for more" It could be something in a sense of "I made a free assets pack that you can find in the description" Trust me, this ending line will SKYROCKET the engagement because you give a value bomb in the end, + you get more attention ------------ If you can share a lesson with your reel editing, please tell me in the comments 🙂 (I don't want to make any stupid mistakes)
