Great look back by Courier Journal at the opening of Phase I of Louisville Waterfront Park in 1999. Hard to believe we are just a few months away from phase IV opening to the public. Tandem Public Relations is grateful for the opportunity to tell the story of Louisville's waterfront and beyond excited to share phase IV with the public this Spring.

Expanding Park Accessibility Through Communication If you’ve visited Sunpoint, Hannah, Friendship or Woodside Green Parks recently, you’ve probably noticed a new feature, Communication Boards. After being presented with the idea, The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation, Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools, Gahanna Parks & Recreation Foundation and the Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation collaborated to provide this tool to help those with communication challenges express themselves in our City parks. This project furthers our mission to improve park accessibility and encourage residents to utilize our parks. More information can be found in the latest edition of Uniquely Gahanna. Here is some more insight to what is going on with Red Hat Amphitheater.
The future of DTR is at stake—and Red Hat Amphitheater sits at the center of it all. The venue is due for a 1,000-seat expansion, which would require a slight move southward to also accommodate for the proposed Raleigh Convention Center expansion—and the only cost is the closure of one block of South Street, which sees just one-third of the traffic it was built for. Pushback over the closure of that single block is mounting, but if City Council doesn't pass the proposed plan to move the venue, Red Hat—along with the millions of dollars in economic impact it brings to the city—will be demolished for good. Many Downtown businesses rely on Red Hat to attract foot traffic during the slow summer months—and would not survive if Red Hat were to close. Tap the link in bio for the full story about the potential closure of the venue's detrimental impact on DTR, plus how to help save it and who to contact if you want it to stay. #redhat #redhatampitheater #DTR #downtownraleigh #raleighcitycouncil #DRA #raleighconcerts #raleighmusic #southstreet #livenation #raleigh #raleighnc #raleighliving #lifeinraleigh #visitraleigh Adam Eckhardt Crank Arm Brewing Company Trophy Brewing Company David Meeker Bill King Downtown Raleigh Alliance Live Nation Entertainment Red Hat Mary-Ann Baldwin #redhat #redhatampitheater #DTR #downtownraleigh #raleighcitycouncil #DRA #raleighmusic #livenation #raleigh https://lnkd.in/dPBJuQqJ

Not for or against this idea. Just thinking it through from a #marketdemand perspective. Is #induceddemand the driving theory behind this proposal? If #visitor-driven, how will location relate to where most downtown #hotel rooms are located (ie. towards #UnionSquare)? We’re working on #downtown #masterplans across the #unitedstates right now, so interested to see how this evolves and if it’s a model for other cities. #retailresilience #communitydesign #economicdevelopment #downtownrecovery #sanfrancisco #retail #foodandbeverage
Today, I’m standing with Mayor Breed and Sen. Wiener to announce the first Entertinment Zone in California - Front Street! “Downtown San Francisco needs a nightlife renaissance post-pandemic. Launching California’s first ever entertainment zone on Front Street is significant and will catalyze more reasons to come downtown,” Robbie Silver, executive director of the Downtown SF Partnership, said in a statement. Whyte Ave Screeching Preachers & Loudmouth Louts to be Buttoned Up — Anarchy of Open Spaces in the Wild West of the Capital City of the Alberta Tarsands Tarnation About to be Reined In or Corralled, at least?⚠️⛔️⚠️ CBC News : Here's what you need to know about Edmonton's proposed public spaces bylaw. Bylaw would regulate aggressive panhandling, adding a new restriction against panhandling in or next to roadways. At present, Edmonton doesn't regulate panhandling, except where behaviour is aggressive. Sound amplification systems would be restricted in all public spaces, except with permission. Event organizers with permits to use park space would be allowed to use a loudspeaker. The use of amplification systems is not currently regulated unless the use results in noise complaints. Regulating everything from open drug use to large gatherings in parks, the new bylaw would replace three existing bylaws that govern people's conduct in public areas of the city — the Public Places Bylaw, Parkland Bylaw and Conduct of Transit Passengers Bylaw. Currently, large gatherings in parks — those with more than 50 people — require a permit. The proposed bylaw would extend the requirement to all public spaces. It proposes a $250 fine for events that go ahead without permission.
