𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐁 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐬 What was once known "the world's deadliest infectious disease" by the World Health Organisation, the cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Singapore have been kept low and decreasing over the years. Our specialists from the National Tuberculosis Care Centre (NTBCC) and National Tuberculosis Screening Centre (NTBSC) work closely together to ensure that TB is caught early, and if diagnosed, managed well effectively. Through programmes such as Directly Observed Therapy (DOT), our team of doctors, nurses, patient service associates, pharmacists and medical social workers walk the journey together with our patients - hand in hand until TB ends.
