This week our Exec Operations Chef Boban Thomas visited our Stoke store and sat down with Rhiannon the Kitchen Manager. Rhiannon is a prime example of internal development and has grown her career since joining us - Boban also recognised her excellent food standards and food quality too 👏 Below is an insight to Rhiannon & her time at TGI Fridays Boban: What made you choose a career in culinary? Rhiannon: Cooking runs in my family; my mom used to be a chef. Cooking has been a passion for me since school. It's one of my favourite things to do. Boban: How would you describe TGI Fridays? Rhiannon: I love what we stand for. There's a lot of heritage and a family connection. I appreciate that we nurture and develop people from within. I love all the Brand Theories because there's a story behind them that inspires people. The TGI uniform stands out in the industry, and I love the pins we get as part of the recognition. And, of course, I love TGI food. Boban: How would you describe your management team? Rhiannon: My GM, Liam, is very supportive and helpful. My operations manager always appreciates my work and praises my burger cooking. Boban: How would you describe your team? Rhiannon: I have a young kitchen team, and they always want to do their best. The store team is cooperative and fun to work with. Boban: What’s the most important element when heading a kitchen team? Rhiannon: Kitchen service depends on the trade of the business. Communication is the most important element; it's a two-way process that helps navigate through any challenges. Boban: Outside of working in the kitchen, what other areas do you love and follow? Rhiannon: I also wanted to be a footballer because I love playing football. I've taken part in many semi-formal club matches. Congratulations on your achievements Rhiannon and we are cheering on your future success 👏 #IWD2025 Jack Finlay Stephanie Williams Julie Mcewan
