I love everybody. I'm Richard Hutchins with Sen Stored Energy Systems and we're here with the Power Cab 2 at Distributech 2025. And you'll notice at Distributech that the whole purpose of this trade show is discussing Power Distribution equipment. That's all the equipment that runs in between the power generating station and ultimately to your home. And. Every piece of that link, you'll have substations and they will have switch gear, and all of the switch gear within that substation operates off of a DC bus. Part of the reason for that DC bus is that need to be able to operate the switch gear whether there's primary power on the AC grid or not, and by having a DC backup system that provides power for everything. This guarantees that even in a total blackout scenario. That you have power available to operate the switch gear. So. I'd like to demonstrate the the power cab too. This happens to be the industry premier solution for providing DC power to switch gear in substation or in other industrial applications. We incorporate different choices of rectifiers inside the the power cabinet one up here. This is our energy Genius DC. This one in particular is A7 kilowatt switch mode rectifier. When I say switch mode, you'll see some competitors out there with IGBT products. Ours are based on silicon carbide and that allows for higher switching frequencies, which allows for shrinking the size of the magnetics, shrinking the size of the filter components. So we can produce clean DC up to seven kilowatts, fully hot, pluggable and expandable. It shows one rectifier here at the moment, but we can easily put 8 rectifiers inside of a power cab system and we could even parallel. Multiple power cab systems. There's monitoring that's provided here within our protocol Excel board at the the voltages, currents, the alarm status, all that's visible on the display, but we also communicate via Ethernet for Modbus TCP DMP 3 point O as well as IC 61850 options. So on the the rectifier system, we we not only have that three phase input as an availability, but now this year we're introducing single phase rectifiers as well. So this is a shelf that happens to have three of our energy genius rectifiers and this is expandable. So we could do either a shelf of three, a shelf of 6A shelf of nine or a shelf of 12 and which would end up being multiple shelves. But the intention is that. If you really had a single phase application, particularly lower voltage from 120 Volt AC, 240 Volt AC, even 277 Volt AC, we can accommodate that with single phase rectifiers that are optimized for that AC input voltage. In terms of batteries, we have different options for you. If we're looking at lead acid batteries, we can provide that inside the power cab include our own battery monitoring system from Phoenix Broadband. So the data from the Phoenix Broadband battery monitor system is also fully available via DNP 3 Modbus for remote skate of monitoring applications. There's other battery options that we have in our arsenal. One of them is the FCC Sonic, also now known as Horian, but this is a molten sodium nickel chloride battery. So this is a unique battery. It's really intended for an optimized discharge rate would be about 6 hours. But with this battery, this is 125 volts DC nominal at 80 amp hours and. We don't use a serious connection with this battery in order to stack them up. We use all parallel connections. So the power cab immediately today is available in 120 volts DC nominal or 240 volts DC nominal. And we can select the battery technology that best fits your application, whether you have a high power application or a high energy application where the discharge rate is a little bit more suited for substation switch gear applications, the FCC Sonic is a fantastic. The option for you. Another advantage is that the battery can operate from -20 to a + 60 C ambient temperature and what that means is that with the rugged design of the Suns Rectifier and the FCC Sonic battery, we can operate this in an outdoor enclosure without the need for air conditioning or HVAC units. The the filtered ventilation on the front and exhaust hood on the back is more than sufficient to be able to provide cooling for this cabinet easily. And a 50 C ambient environment, no problem with that. So that's certainly an advantage over the lead acid battery technologies. Another fantastic advantage is that the the salt battery from FC Sonic. That can be stored for a virtually indefinite period of time at the construction site before the station is really ready to assemble. If you're to do that with Val Frankie related lead acid batteries, which we could provide, you're kind of limited to a six month window before. If you don't get that charge on that battery within a six month period, you're gonna lose those batteries. They won't be recoverable where the FCC Sonic battery that could sit there for years ready or waiting to be ready to be assembled into the system. Now Speaking of assembling into the system. We provide all of this as a factory deliverable, both the battery charger, the battery being fully mounted, wired and tested and inclusive of DC distribution panel. All at the factory as one encompassing deliverable. So there's a lot of advantages that come with that. By having this assembled inside of our ISO 9000 controlled factory, we're able to guarantee quality of this deliverable with virtually no commissioning in the field. So every piece here is fully tested as a complete system, both in terms of communication and performance at the factory. Every single breaker pole position is fully specified by the customer and fully tested at the factory to verify that the customer is getting what they ordered. So there are other systems that we can provide where the battery charger, the battery and the DC distribution are separate components. But what makes the the power cab unique is by having all of that incorporated into a single deliverable product, it really takes all the headaches out of wiring those systems together and guaranteeing quality for the customer when they're ultimately putting it into the application. And we're not limited to the size of this cabinet we call this. A a full width cabinet and we call this DC distribution portion 1/2 with. But as as you'll see, we can expand this into multiple different sizes depending on the demand of the system. So it's very easy for us to put up, you know, multiple batteries, multiple rectifiers and scale this design up for the needed application. This is a fully customized DC solution that can really take care of all the applications. Here at Distributech 2025.
