For this 4th edition of the World Clean Up at Quadient, what will be the employee experience? Over the next few days, in most of our offices around the world - from the US to Japan, via Munich, Stratford & Bagneux - hundreds of us will be rolling up our sleeves to remind ourselves just how urgent it is to protect our planet. To my colleagues who have already taken part...: …you're thinking “yet again, but we've been picking up cigarette butts one by one by hand for the last 3 times!”, but on the one hand, our planet still needs to be protected more than ever, and on the other hand, challenges and questions will be on offer to help you raise awareness with Surfrider Foundation Europe (watch out, there will be a quiz!). …have you put aside your organic cotton T-shirt from last year (washed and ironed)? …have you recruited your most reluctant colleagues by highlighting the strong points of the clean-up, such as exercising in squat mode (you have to bend down to pick it up!) or laughing at the discovery of... shall we say... surprising garbage? To my other colleagues who have never taken part, well…: …would you like to get involved in a good deed for the environment and impress your friends with everything you've learned? …would you like to meet your colleagues in person and find out whether they're actually taller or shorter than you'd imagine on Teams? …would you like to find a piece of garbage that's even more unusual than in previous years (as a reminder, we had a bottle in the sea with a real message inside, a skull and a pair of underpants)? Human Rights we celebrate must underpin technological use and development 🌍 On the occasion of this week’s anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted on 10 December 1948, we are reflecting on the important lens human rights must offer in guiding how we develop and use technology to serve humanity.
