England vs Spain - winner takes home an additional €8m (£6.88m). 2 weeks ago the Euros sadly came to an end, leaving all of us in England devastated… But it has to be handed to Spain, being the only team to have won 4 European Championships 👏 But if I’m being honest, that was the least interesting thing to me about this win… What interested me, was the massive prizes the teams were walking away with. → The total prize money for the Euro 2024 was €331m (£285). However, that amount would be split amongst the 24 participating teams. Meaning each team was handed €9.25m (£7.95m) regardless of how far they went in the competition. So, once all the games were complete, we were left with the final game ⤵️ → Which left Spain walking away with a total of €24.27m (£20.41m) of that €331m (£285).
