#CulturalEducation Aboriginal Peoples live and walk in two worlds. Within the Aboriginal Community World, we participate in an Aboriginal Community System that has two main components: (1) Traditional Owner Culture. This sets the Cultural protocols, rules, expectations, and hierarchy etc. (2) Regional Lore. This encompasses the wider LORE practiced by the Traditional Owners. How strong this SYSTEM is, is determined by the third component. (3) Impact of colonisation. Every Aboriginal Community System is LOCATION BASED. It changes as the first two components change. This learning is important to understand in the context of #AboriginalEngagement, #Reconciliation, and #ClosingTheGaps. I'm offering THREE Cultural Learning workshops ONLINE this month, 1. Aboriginal Engagement and Building Relationships, 24 July 2. Cultural Differences in the Workplace, 25 July 3. Cultural Safety in the Workplace, 26 July I have been a Cultural Education Provider for 13 years. To make our educational sector vibrant and globally connected we should take initiatives to hire international teachers as countries in Asia like Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia , China Malaysia and even Nepal do. International teachers don't demand much they just need safety and travel attraction. They do volunteer teaching in other countries in exchange of a safe and organized travel package by their own expense. That's why those countries' education is so progressive. Even conservative country like Saudi Arabia runs their educational sectors by International teachers to make the nation progressive and internationally competent.
One of our promises for students and families is that you will be part of a vibrant, international community that promotes well-being and social responsibility, whilst developing cultural awareness. Richard Forster, Head of Science at #TheBritishSchoolWarsaw, talks about his experiences.
