2moGood article, much like my career in automotive. As a teen, I pumped gas, the owner was a true "gear head" aside from running his station he spent much time building track cars (1/4 milers) He hand built a tubular frame, put in a Ford 409? and attached a 1936 Fiat Topolino (SP) this is not his, but sick fast. And we spent some good days at Englishtown NJ I was hooked, guy taught me to build my own cars, not track cars, but fast, and learned much from his mentorship. years later, got a dealer job, washing cars, got a tech job, could do all the basic stuff, just could not wrap my head around check engine diagnostics and such, so they put me on the service desk, worked well and moved into management at some very prestigious stores. These days I spend my time consulting with dealers to "move the needle" Love it!
