Kudos to our Contact Center team who joyously participated in the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK WALK two Saturdays ago in Fort Worth, Texas. More than 30 team members and their families came together for the fundraising walk in support of breast cancer awareness and to be part of a community committed to care and connection. The Contact Center plays a crucial role in scheduling life-changing mammography services for the patients we serve across the United States, with a personal and compassionate touch that opens the door to breast health.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we highlight the Pink Fund and Molly MacDonald.
Diagnosis can lead to significant financial challenges, including loss of income, medical expenses, and other costs like transportation and accommodation.
Learn more about Molly MacDonald from her own experience as a mother of five struggling to make ends meet during her breast cancer diagnosis and “Breast Cancer UnAwareness Month” and how it sheds light on the lack of awareness about non-medical financial support for survivors.

Hey Breast Friend, are you ready to give?!
Our goal is to raise $41,000 to represent our efforts to #Endthe41percent.
Don’t know what the 41% is? Just google “Black women” and “breast cancer”, and you’ll see that black women die at 41% higher rates than white women with breast cancer. There are many reasons for this statistic.
Our Survivor Support and Rapid Response programs address a few of those reasons.
Such as basic needs; We receive calls, texts, emails, dms, and letters every day. Black women struggle to meet their basic needs while undergoing treatment for breast cancer. For many of these women, reaching out to Carrie’s TOUCH is their last cry.
Your dollars on Big Day of Giving, help us to offer a bit of hope to a woman who is feeling hopeless.
Mark your calendar for May 2nd, 2024, and be a part of the solution!

🎇 September is when we #gogold for Pediatric Cancer Awareness! My niece, Vara, was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor at the age of 9. Eight years later, she's cancer-free, and for that, we are incredibly grateful—to her mother, her medical team and her incredible community. To say her strength, courage, and spirit are inspiring could never do justice to her experiences as a pediatric cancer patient, as a child with a terrifying, life-threatening disease. Today, she shares her story to raise awareness, encourage research, and promote philanthropy—an act of bravery in and of itself. You can catch a glimpse of her infectious personality in the video linked below - she's is as hilarious and special as described and just about the coolest person I know.
I hold the experiences of families very close, when I think about Pediatric Cancer. Diagnosis and treatment can be so isolating and it’s difficult to describe the experience and longer-term effects to those who aren't a part of it or don't want to understand because its just too much to process. Organizations like Team Impact play a pivotal role, not only by creating wonderful experiences for these kids but also by helping communities understand, empathize, and embrace these remarkable young individuals and their families. And I hope these experiences help people see what a difference it can make when we reach out to people impacted by illness and the longer-term health and social impacts, often unseen, childhood cancer can create.
We honor all of the kids and families impacted by pediatric cancer this month, and every month. Let’s continue to find safe and effective treatments that provide hope to families impacted by these horrible illnesses. #PediatricCancerAwareness#TeamImpact

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month. As many of you know I wear Gold shoes every day to raise awareness. Today I am sharing a video from Team Impact and the teammates who nationally have kids impacted by cancer on their team. Their support has been invaluable for my daughter, Vara. So thankful Vara is cancer free at this time, and thinking of all we have lost along the way and honoring them today and in September. Let's honor those who have lost their battle and continue to fight for a cure. #PediatricCancerAwareness#TeamImpact#GoldShoesForKids
🌸 Breast Cancer Awareness Week: A Time to Reflect, Support, and Hope 🌸
This week is a reminder that breast cancer touches the lives of so many—whether directly or through a loved one. It’s a journey marked by courage, resilience, and unyielding hope. For some, it’s a story of survival; for others, it’s about honoring the memory of those taken too soon.
To every fighter, survivor, caregiver, and family member walking this path—you are not alone. Your strength inspires us all. Let's use this week to not only raise awareness but to foster compassion and solidarity. Early detection saves lives, so let's remind each other to schedule that screening, offer a shoulder to lean on, and donate where we can.
Together, we can make a difference. Together, we fight.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BBF is proud to partner with Mercy Health, Graves County Health Dept, KentuckyCare, and the Kentucky Cancer Program, for the "Boo! Scare Away Breast Cancer!" event in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Using our donated mobile health clinic, the event provided free clinical breast exams, educational resources, and mammogram referrals at no cost.
Tiffany Newhouse, APRN from KentuckyCare, expressed it best:
"This is a blessing that bridges the access to care within small communities by closing gaps in healthcare."
