Additionally, deworming tablets should be given twice a year, in Jestha and Mangsir. For easy understanding, reminder and tracking of the iron supplementation and deworming, SOCHAI's wearable educational tool - 'Iron Folic Acid (IFA) Bracelet' Or 'Anti-Anemia Bracelet' can be used. When I was working at AIIMS Nagpur, I witnessed how undernutrition and nutrition-related diseases affect patients. This made me wonder what’s the right nutrient intake for Indians? That’s when I found the Indian Dietary Guidelines 2024. 🍽 The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) recently updated these guidelines, revealing that 56.4% of diseases in India are linked to unhealthy diets. To address this, ICMR introduced 17 key guidelines to help prevent obesity, diabetes, and more.🍎🥦 which have been scientifically reviewed and revised over the years. 🧠📚 These guidelines provide a thorough approach to better health. From promoting a balanced diet to specific advice for pregnancy and lactation, these guidelines cover it all. They also stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle to combat abdominal obesity and overall weight gain. Plus, there’s guidance on proper diets for children and adolescents, whether healthy or sick. And this is just the start, there’s so much more to explore! 🚀 The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) stated: "A significant number of premature deaths can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle." 🏃♂🍏 But here’s the thing, our love for processed foods and lack of movement are making it harder to stay healthy. These habits are reducing access to diverse foods, leading to micronutrient deficiencies. It’s time to rethink our diets and how we move! 🔄
