Smithers’ Post

This week we celebrated 100 years of Smithers — a century of innovation, growth, and amazing people! At our Leatherhead office, the celebration was in full swing with delicious Greek food, games and catching up with each other. We started the day with a special call from our CEO, Michael Hochschwender, setting the tone for a memorable day. • We planted a tree in our newly refreshed garden — a symbol of growth and to commemorate the day • A talented caricaturist joined us, sketching fun portraits that had everyone smiling • There were games for everyone, from reaction-time challenges, Scalextric racing to Snake, and classic Tetris. Of course, prizes for the winners! • To top it all off, everyone received a goodie bag with a branded thermal flask, Smithers branded Tony Maloney chocolate, and a pencil filled with seeds — a fun and sustainable way to remember the day. We also made sure our party invites were just as eco-friendly, made up of seeds you can plant right in the ground and remember the event as we watch them grow! As part of our lead-up to the big day, we also held a 10-week prize draw, with names pulled from a hat every Tuesday. It was a fun way to keep the excitement going — and the final winner, Nicola Stephens walked away with an Airbnb voucher for a well-deserved getaway! Here’s to a century of achievements and the exciting journey still to come. Looking forward to Smithers 200th! #Smithers100
