However, original research may be devalued after replication attempts if subsequent studies fail to reproduce the findings, leading to skepticism about the initial results. This devaluation, influenced by replication failures, publication bias, and context-specific results, underscores the importance of robust and transparent research practices to uphold scientific integrity. It is important to note that this does not imply the original research lacked validity, rather, it had internal validity and should be valued, provided the methods used were empirical and sound.
