Industrial decarbonization is essential for achieving global net-zero targets, and it requires collaboration from all players in the energy sector. 🔵 Tech developers, like SLB, must continue innovating to solve the current and future challenges of hard-to-abate industries. 🔵 Heavy industries, themselves, must be open to adopting and testing this new tech either in new lower-emission plants or by retrofitting the ones they have. 🔵 Governments and regulatory bodies must establish the right frameworks — ones that truly incentivize progress and tip the economics. 🔵 Consumers also have a role to play by demanding lower-carbon products, services, and solutions. While progress is being made, the world is asking all industries to move faster. How can they do that? SLB’s Nitin Goel and Joey Berry break down the situation clearly in their recent analysis:https://lnkd.in/gSVZsYBk
The regulatory bodies should be given the power for controlling these emissions and penalize with sanctions thoses who cross the limits set by the global regulations.
About the last point highlighted, the companies should also look to the angle of intentionally enlightening and sensitising the consumers to play this role to fit. Seminars should be organised, even in the rural areas to teach the basic knowledge of identification, effects and advantages of these lower-carbon products plus its influence in promoting a healthy environment. This movement will drive that sense of responsibility into the consumer community. This should be considered as it will be an addition to achieving the global net-zero targets.
One of the main strategies for reducing carbon footprint is energy efficiency. This path drives companies to define the energy line base. This is the challenge, which has to focus on operating scenarios, reducing energy leaks, and so forth. On the other hand, the ESCO contract could handle it. What have been these challenges in your companies?
Please stop spreading the global net-zero targets scam.
Collaboration across industries, governments, and consumers is key to accelerating industrial decarbonization. Clear communication ensures that innovations in energy transition reach the right stakeholders and drive real impact. #Decarbonization #SustainableIndustry #TranslationMatters
Industrial decarbonization should not just a goal—it is an imperative for sustainable global growth. This post highlights a crucial reality: innovation, adoption, regulation, and consumer behavior must align to accelerate progress.
