Last Friday was the first anniversary of the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA). The DMA requires the most powerful tech firms to follow fair competition rules, including banning them from self-preferencing their own products. At Skyscanner, we believe in putting travellers first, and the DMA was designed to do just that - making travel search fairer, more open, and more competitive. A year on we're starting to see signs of progress, but we're not there yet with some companies still failing to comply. That's why Skyscanner is joining many other businesses in calling for decisive enforcement of the DMA, so that in Europe we'll see: ✅ More competition and choice for consumers ✅ More innovation in travel search ✅ More investment in fair digital markets We want to ensure Europe's travellers can access the best options based on merit, not manipulation. The time to act is now.
