Did you know about fidelity bonding? This service helps job applicants facing challenges in securing employment. The Texas Workforce Commission offers this free service to help companies feel secure when hiring individuals who might otherwise struggle to find work. Essentially an insurance policy, it protects companies against dishonest acts like theft.
Key points about fidelity bonding:
- Free for six months: After this period, companies can choose to continue at their own expense.
- Coverage: Typically $5,000 with no deductible.
- Quick and easy: No forms, no long wait times; coverage can start immediately.
Eligibility:
- Individuals involved with the justice system
- Those with poor credit history
- Dishonorably discharged veterans
- Public assistance recipients
- Individuals with a history of substance abuse
- Disadvantaged youth with no work history
- Those not approved for other bonding systems
*Note: Self-employed individuals are not covered, and the bond does not cover poor work skills, injuries, or accidents.
How to Request a Fidelity Bond: Visit any Workforce Solutions office. Either the job seeker or the employer can request bonding, and coverage can start immediately upon approval or on the first day of work. The bond is mailed to the employer and is valid for six months, with the option to extend.
Let’s continue to embrace these innovative solutions and create more opportunities for those ready for a second chance!
Leslie Cantu, vice president of administration at Toyotetsu North America (Texas), believes that second chance hiring is 100% worth the effort. Discover how your organization to tap into this opportunity: https://bit.ly/3UdcarF
During my New Hire Orientation at Greif roughly 2.5 years ago, I was first introduced to the Accountability Ladder. I love what it stands for and my TEAM and I often reference it to ensure that we as a Global OPEX TEAM are "staying above the line". At the beginning of this fiscal year, my mentor/coach sent us a note with an actual stop watch. The note stated the following: "Plan in years...Think in months...Work in hours...Act in minutes!" With that said, we are all human and will operate below the line at times. However, the difference between a Champion and a Victim is how quickly you recognize it and what actions you take to quickly get yourself back above the line. I have coached my TEAM to recognize when they are below the line and to hit their virtual stop watch and count in minutes how long it takes them to get back above the line. Think about it. Do you want to be a Champion or a Victim? Do you want to be surrounded by Champions or Victims? Honestly, the choice is ours...
Thanks for listening and be SAFE/Healthy!
Since joining Branco Management, I’ve had so many people ask me, “Why Branco? What made you choose them?” This post is my chance to answer those questions and share what drew me to this incredible company.
Growth and Opportunity: Branco caught my attention in 2021 when I noticed their trucks all over Moncton and their name on so many projects. I’m a growth-oriented person, and I wanted to be part of a company that’s expanding, offers future career opportunities, and has a team I can grow with.
Investing in the Future: Branco stood out as a company that doesn’t cut corners. From well-maintained trucks to new tools and equipment, everything reflects their commitment to long-term success. Employees are compensated well, which reinforces how much they value their team.
A Great Place to Work: During my time as a recruiter, I heard praise for how Branco treats its employees. People shared that they wouldn’t even consider leaving the company. Meeting Branco’s owner, Brandon Hebert, solidified this for me—he genuinely cares about his team’s success and well-being.
Making an Impact: I didn’t want just another job; I wanted a role where I could make a difference. At Branco, I saw the chance to shape the future of the company and contribute meaningfully to its success.
A Visionary Leader: Brandon Hebert is a talented entrepreneur and visionary. The chance to work alongside someone with his drive and vision was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
To everyone who’s asked, these are the reasons I joined Branco Management. It’s been an exciting start, and I’m energized by the opportunities ahead. If you’re curious about the company, let’s connect—I’d love to share more!

Time flies, it has been over a year and a half since I took up a job at CeramTec Czech Republic. And that time I claimed: “I have a clear vision - to lead the Šumperk production plant to the top.“
Looking back on what our team has achieved, how many positive changes we have made during that period, makes me feel very proud.
· We have defined a long--term strategy and a vision where we want to lead our company.
· We have moved from the production unit to the position, where we could increase the number of employees in a product management, design department and R&D. As a result, we are able to qualify new products and cooperate with new customers in new areas.
· Compared to previous years, we have invested into a development much more.
· We have also improved a work environment in many ways and introduced many new benefits to our employees.
· We have a new website – take a look at http://www.ceramtec.cz
…and this list could go on …
Personally, I really appreciate one more important thing. Our president is a business- minded person and a strategic thinker and my immediate superior is a fair-minded person who supports me. Those who work in a corporate organisation surely understand it´s a matter of great importance: top management supporting our values.

Inspiring Conversations, New Ideas, and a Culture of Excellence
During my recent visit to Amlai, I was once again reminded of the incredible dedication of our employees. Walking through the plant, I witnessed firsthand the precision and care with which our colleagues manage the machines. But what struck me most were the conversations—full of innovative ideas to enhance our processes responsibly and sustainably. This dedication and innovation perfectly align with our vision of Paper with Purpose, a vision we all share and strive to uphold.
One of the trip's highlights was a dynamic meeting with our key partner, Valmet Their cross-functional experts, who play a crucial role in our ongoing modernization and debottlenecking efforts, joined us. Together, we're laying the foundation for the future, ensuring our operations are more efficient, cutting-edge, and resilient.
But the most memorable part of the visit was our town hall. Bringing together our colleagues from the paper and chemical businesses, we discussed what it takes to reach the next level, drawing inspiration from the world's top athletes, Olympians, and Paralympians. Their unwavering commitment and sense of excellence, their hunger to improve every day, and their refusal to settle for the status quo are something we all can learn from.
I left the town hall inspired and energized by the passion in the room. As a team, we have the power to push boundaries, stay curious, and create new benchmarks for success. Let's continue to challenge ourselves, support one another, and strive for excellence in everything we do. Judenge to Jitenge!
Here's to building a future together that we can all be proud of.

Interesting study of packagings (in Finnish). Things to consider beforehand. Packaging needs to protect its' contents, needs to be suitable for being secured into loading unit, by suitable equipments. And, with #dangerousgoods , use UN-approved packagings!
Handle it | Customer Service | Freight | Ocean Freight | LCL Tetris | | Pricing & Procurement | Supply Chain | And so much more
Enjoying some bubbly here at Shipco Helsinki with Fanny-Lotta Nygren who has just graduated from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Industrial Engineering and Management). Fanny did her final thesis in collaboration with Shipco. The subject was "Packing of LCL cargo for ocean freight, package requirements and effects of packing". Surely it will serve as good source info and guidance for our customers.
Naturally she received the best possible grade along with the Reijo Rautauoma-stipend from the Metropolia-foundation for her work!
Congratulations Fanny!
