Revolutionizing Celebrations: Leidens Ontzet 450 If your mayor says no to bringing a superstar like Armin van Buuren to your hometown party, show them how we did for Leidens Ontzet! For the 450th anniversary of Leiden’s liberation, we faced the ultimate challenge: how do you safely host an event for 50,000 people when the biggest square can only hold 12,000? With aiming to give the best experience to all the attendees, yet to guarantee a safe celebration, we had to think BIG.   Here’s what we came up with:  We found a somewhat hidden spot for Armin’s set and streamed his show across 10 locations throughout Leiden and online. With a world-class media team, innovative ideas and wireless connection, we managed to reach such a small latency, that every location still experienced the best drops in real time – at the same time. From the most impressive show moments to drone shots and crowd reactions, our unconventional livestream setup was able to cover every moment uninterrupted. Turning a whole town to a dance floor, definitely requires planning, seamless teamwork and creative thinking, but with a crew like this, nothing is impossible! The absolute cheapest way to attend #Sundance Film Festival. (From my brain with no assistance from AI, thank you very much.) ▪️ 20 second version: ⚪ Go to Salt Lake City, stay in Salt Lake City and attend screenings only in Salt Lake City. Stay 3 nights, beginning on 1/27/2025 or 1/28/2025. ▪️ 3 minute version: ⚪ Housing There are hostels , Airbnb and motels in SLC. Gambler? Look at housing 2-3 days before arrival as people cancel plans and comes open at the last minute. ⚪ Transportation Every morning, lots of empty Ubers head over "across the mountain" (about 40 minutes) to Park City from SLC every morning. If you want to go to Park City, its cheaper to stay in SLC and uber back and forth each day than to stay in PC. ⚪ Flying to Salt Lake City Gambler? Wait until 2-3 days before the trip to use the hotwire.com function where you don't know the route your flight will take or when it leaves, you just know you'll get from your city to #SLC on the day you indicate. ⚪ Food Show up with a backpack half-full of high-protein snacks from Aldi. Stay at a 2 star hotel in SLC with free breakfast. ⚪ Screenings $50 for online access to watch all the shorts. ⚪ Panels and Parties Use Eventbrite and meetup to find #festival-adjacent panels and #parties. ⚪ About Me Like you, I've been hemming and hawing about whether to attend Sundance FF in January. It's iconic! In addition to stumbling upon it in the 90s (I met William H. Macy in a hallway!), I attended in 2020 (as an invited "guest" of Sundance) and 2023 as a civilian. I have figured out some ways to pay less than the average festival-goer pays. I'm a longtime budget-traveler but establishing my extensive cred to you in that field is for another post. When starting out in my career, I was the person who would shy away from the camera.... But now, I love the challenge of featuring in video content and presenting Bonded Agency in an effective way. Being visible online is a commitment I made when we launched the business 👉 I’m still learning and loving the process of challenging myself to constantly improve. A key focus is confidence – which doesn’t happen overnight. ➡ Confidence comes by reassuring yourself that you CAN do the things that worry you, by pushing out of your comfort zone. ➡ Next time you feel uncertain, remind yourself that the previous time wasn’t so bad! ➡ Step by step, celebrate the small wins 🥳. Over time you will overcome your fears and naturally improve. And remember, everyone gets nervous sometimes…it’s healthy and shows you care 👏. How do you overcome your fears and anxieties? I’m of the opinion that it takes work and a willingness to be uncomfortable.
