Are you taking the NCEES Fire Protection Engineering P.E. Exam this April or in April 2026? For those taking the exam this year, do you need a last-minute exam overview and refresher?  For those taking the exam in 2026, do you need a good “springboard” to get your studying off to a great start? If so, we have the one-day class for you. John Frank of AXA XL and Stephen Dale, P.E. of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies will be teaching the “Last Chance P.E. Exam Overview and Refresher” as Seminar 4 at the 21st annual Atlanta Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Fire Safety Conference & Expo, March 11-12, 2025, at the Gas South District, Duluth, Georgia. These two excellent instructors regularly teach the SFPE International’s “PE Exam Review Course” which consists of 17 live, 1.5-hour sessions. Here is the official course description: This course is intended for three different groups of fire protection professionals:   1. Those preparing for the April 2025 Fire Protection PE exam. Participants will benefit from a refresher of the topics in the SFPE PE review class, especially the earlier topics. There will be an opportunity to get specific insight on topics needing extra work, and an opportunity to work directly with Stephen Dale and John Frank. There will be last minute study tips and a discussion on how to make the most of the time remaining before the exam.   2. Those interested in a future exam. Besides the content, participants will have an opportunity to interact with those preparing for the 2025 exam. This will help determine a preparation path for a future exam.   3. Those interested in an introduction to the spectrum of topics a fire protection may encounter in professional practice.    The attendees will have an opportunity to visit the Expo to give attendees an opportunity to gain additional knowledge (interacting with the exhibitors) in areas needing more understanding. Also, the instructors will take the class on a “field trip” within the Conference Center to review the facility’s fire pump, fire alarm, and smoke control systems.     Topics include:   Exam Preparation & Exam Taking Strategies Fire Protection Analysis Fire Protection Management Human Behavior Fire Dynamics Fire Protection Systems Smoke Management Explosion Protection Passive Building Systems This Seminar will be one of 20 fantastic sessions. Come check it out! There are some unique aspects of combining this program with the conference. With 40 vendors, you can see fire protection equipment that you might not be familiar with, and then talk to us about how that applies to your prep. We will visit the on site sports arena and review the smoke control system. The next day there is an excellent lineup of topics on all aspects of FPE to deepen your knowledge and then circle back on how those topics will apply to exam preparation. I’ve been involved with the SFPE exam prep program for many years and we will make maximum use of these extra opportunities.
