Big news from the retail world! John Lewis & Partners is expanding its collaboration with Caffè Nero, bringing branded cafés to selected department stores and supermarkets. The first five cafés have already launched in Waitrose & Partners locations across #Billericay, #Godalming, #Keynsham, Locks Heath, and #Stroud, with a new opening at the John Lewis store in White City, West London. Building on a partnership that started in 2021, this move goes beyond the free hot drinks loyalty perk - customers can now enjoy freshly prepared coffee from expert baristas and a relaxed space to unwind during their shopping trips. In Pictures: Inside Waitrose's First New Convenience Store in Six Years "Waitrose opened the doors to its first new convenience store in six years today in Hampton Hill, South West London, marking the upmarket retailer’s 47th Waitrose-operated convenience shop. The new store, which features dedicated areas for ‘dinner for tonight’ and beer and wine, forms part of the grocer’s pledge to open up to 100 new convenience stores over the next five years in a £1bn investment programme. In August, Waitrose executive director James Bailey said new store openings would represent a shop “tailored to the local area” and designed “in mind of how customers like to shop”. The flagship store (located in the Irishtown) is an idea from Tomas Young and his team at Nesty, together the guys have transformed a vacant unit into a new store that will sell a wide range of goods to meet the needs of customers.
