It's that time again (technically, another Olympics Quadrennium) when ambush marketing and protection of Olympic and Paralympic Games sponsors take centre stage of the IP world! In the lead up to the opening of the Paris Games on Friday, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has initiated a lawsuit against a sports beverage company alleging trade mark infringement, unfair competition and breach of the US Olympic and Amateur Sports Act.
