Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Transit Police & Philadelphia Police Department: A Partnership for Public Safety Public safety is at the heart of SEPTA’s mission, and our Transit Police officers play a critical role in keeping our riders and communities safe. Their dedication and keen attention to detail were on full display on February 26, when two SEPTA Transit Police officers on routine patrol recognized a suspect wanted for homicide. Thanks to their vigilance and swift action, they were able to confirm the warrant and coordinate with the Philadelphia Police Department, leading to the suspect’s arrest. This is a powerful example of the collaboration, expertise, and commitment that define our SEPTA Transit Police force. Scott that was great to read. Especially when the accolades are coming from the General manager. Safety. Ridership, and revenues, aside from service, go hand and hand. Making our transit system great again.
