Is this just me thinking this?……………. I joined LinkedIn a few years ago now, as I thought as “LinkedIn is a business and employment-focused platform,” it would be a good place to interact with industry related people. We are seeing more and more non-business related posts every day. People venting their anger over political issues and all sorts of other stuff. I have just deleted Instagram because of how toxic it is, and the reactions it provokes. I deleted Facebook about 12 years ago, and Twitter (or whatever it’s called now) 2 years ago for the same. Is it time for me to get rid of LinkedIn too, as it’s going down the same route? What do you think? Should people keep non-business related stuff away from here?

Instagram is known for its fakeness. Twitter (X) is known for its toxicity. What's LinkedIn known for? Share in the comment. Understanding the uniqueness of the platform you are on is key to achieving success there. Every platform has a rule of engagement and principles for visibility. One of LinkedIn's secrets is your connections/followers. To get your content 'flying,' ensure your connections/followers engage with your post. But how do you pull this off? 👉 Don't just connect unthinkingly with them. Ensure to establish and build relationships with them. 👉 Be a giver. Support their post with insightful comments whenever you can. They will reciprocate the gesture when they see yours. 👉 Timing is highly important. Only post whenever they can see it. And lastly, only post valuable content, and don't overdo it. If you want to build a formidable brand here on LinkedIn, let's talk. #Kolaspiration #branding #digitalmarketing

As a Founder, you need to get attention on LinkedIn Imagine yourself entering into a meeting where: No one knows you personally, They are meeting you for the first time You gave a marvelous speech and put your bold opinions Everyone liked your thoughts. They clapped. They got inspired Out of their curiosity, they tried finding you on Social Media So, they opened a very famous corporate platform i.e. LinkedIn As it’s easy to find founders on LinkedIn But, this is what they found: Your 10 years ago, picture Your outdated headline and banner Your reposts and comments 3 months ago They thought this was not your account, They thought this was someone else, not you Now, think for a moment if you had an established LinkedIn then this embarrassment wouldn’t have happened So, that’s why keep posting content daily Keep sharing your bold opinions daily P.S. What’s the worst condition anyone can face if he is not posting on LinkedIn? DM me, and let’s chat if we are good to work together. Or book your discovery call here: https://lnkd.in/g_GVxBTk

LinkedIn… does it make you cringe?😂 These comments are from a meme I found on Instagram. Not the first meme I see about this social media though. It’s fun and true. Sometimes we people here shitpost corporate jargon and weirdest personal stories, and it’s ok. THIS IS WHAT LINKEDIN TAUGHT ME: We must learn to not take ourselves too seriously.😉 #linkedin #meme #corporate #jargon #b2bsales

Remember this: They Have Been Lying to You (Quality over Quantity - Hidden Truth Exposed) I went from posting 2x to 4x per week Results: - 3.5K Facebook, 2.7K on LinkedIn & 600+ on Twitter In just six months, I built an audience of around 1 million. — Alex Hormozi I write multiple posts every day - Then choose the best ones to post from them. You guys often see this: "Quality over Quantity" - In comments, in posts... - Everywhere You think: → You'll write one post each day on LinkedIn — You'll become the next big thing → You'll post 3 times a week — You'll become the next Alex Hormozi Sorry to break your dream, → This will never happen. "It takes QUANTITY for a long time to achieve the QUALITY you are looking for." And in every personal brand here and there, QUANTITY is involved in each. Sometimes it's hidden, Sometimes it's visible. P.S.: How many posts do you write every week? (I'm not asking about posting)

LinkedIn things I've survived - when someone updated their LinkedIn, it meant they were looking for a job - when no one cared about LinkedIn except as a place to host your resume - when LinkedIn was just a few folks talking about a cool job they'd taken - when LinkedIn was simply ads for people who would help you post to LinkedIn to get more sales LinkedIn things I'm not sure I'm going to survive - 🙌 emoji-laden 💸 AI-generated 🦄 brand-building 💩 content - 😵💫 political propaganda - ✨whatever AI they're trying to jam in there today Look, I care a lot about my company and my job, and I love talking about what I do. There needs to be a place that we can all talk about work and make the connections we need to be successful and build businesses that make our world a better place. But could it be a place where we don't have to wade through 10,000 tons of AI-generated brand building and a couple of political diatribes every morning? After all, Twitter is still around if that's your jam.

You want to know why most of our LinkedIn feeds are boring as f***? Not enough eco-chambers. ❇ ❇ ❇ The main criticism against Facebook in the last decade or so is that it's too good at showing you the things you're interested in. When it comes to politics, it's awful - you see one side of the argument, everyone else get vilified, and the platform becomes toxic. But when politics aren't an issue, you get wonderful Facebook groups (the good side of the platform). Ever heard of "Sports Twitter"? It basically refers to the use of Twitter (X) by sports fans. But more specifically, it's the sense of community you get when your feed is filled with content from like-minded people, that talk about the same topics you talk about. There are endless opinions and discussions and it's entertaining as hell. The same goes for Black Twitter, High Fashion Twitter, Health Twitter, etc. And the same goes for Instagram and TikTok. But that can't happen on LinkedIn. First, because most of the people you connect with you don't like or hate - you're just indifferent to, which leads to 99% of the content being irrelevant to you. Second, saying anything remotely controversial can embarrass you in front of your colleagues, or potentially even cost you your job. Why take the risk? ❇ ❇ ❇ As a marketer in tech I want my feed to be mostly about marketing and tech. But instead, I get: ➡ Updated about a new job some guy I've met once just started. ➡ Job interview tips from some recruiter who added me 7 years ago. ➡ A detailed breakdown of a product launch by a dude from R&D at a company I no longer work for. ➡ Sales tips from a woman who pitched me a tool I don't need. There are multiple things we can all do to improve our experience here, but it comes down to LinkedIn to do a better job of getting us more engaged and exposing us to better content. Bring on the eco-chamber!

I have noticed a shift in the content on LinkedIn the past few years. It seems to be flooded with influencer posts and irrelevant videos rather than a platform for meaningful business connections. The essence of connecting with fellow professionals seems to be fading away, making it resemble more of a Facebook for business individuals. It's hard to open this up and find any meaningful info from connections about their career, business updates, etc without spending time looking for it. Just like Facebook, without buying an "Instagram" or "Whatsapp" that the next generation wants to use this, will fade into obscurity. Bring back the old LinkedIn please and stop promoting via the algorithm trash. It defeats the point of the platform.
