What is my favorite thing about getting to #Work4Wake today? The promotion opportunities! Our new GSA Director started out as an intern with us. I ❤️ #LocalGovernmentCareers #TeamWake #Promotion #LOGOCareers #LocalGovernment #WakeCounty #InternToDirector #JobGrowth #WeAreHiring #Governmentjobs
Congrats to Ryan Davidson on his promotion to the new Director of General Services Administration at #WakeCounty! 🎉 Ryan's been with #TeamWake since 2008 (he started as an intern!) and first worked in the Wake County Sheriff's Office prior to joining GSA in 2012. GSA is the backbone of Wake County services! The department manages facilities and fleet and supports criminal justice, safety and security and general government functions. They maintain buildings, equipment, vehicles and more. We couldn't serve #Wake residents and visitors without them! Congrats Ryan, and thanks for growing your career at #TeamWake! 👏

Ok, you can choose to watch the entirety of this video, its a long one, but the question is who’s right? This is an example of losing situational awareness, clearly the security guards have not taken any type of de-escalation training, or if they did, few of them were asleep during that portion of the program with they spoke about antagonism. The question posed above is really irrelevant, what is relevant is that the most of the guards completely lose their composure, and at some point, they are simply yelling at each other. Nobody is right… nobody… and I would argue the guards that deshielded their batons, each one of them need time to be retrained. Any comments agreeing with or arguing against the above is welcome. Just keep it relevant and on point. Not a great day in the security guards working careers *note* here is what I love, the industry itself is critical of the actions, we all know that we have clean actors out there, but the dirty actors are largely left alone, so lets start the conversation again... What should be done??? to make us a better industry related to use of force issues.

Someone recently asked me what’s the recipe for success. My top three tips: 💫Be proud of your offerings - Take pride in your skills, knowledge, and the value you bring to the table. Embrace your unique strengths and let them shine through in your interactions with clients. 💫Stand out from the crowd - In a competitive market, it's important to find ways to differentiate yourself. Whether it's through exceptional customer service, innovative solutions, or a distinctive approach, strive to stand out and make a memorable impression on your clients. 💫Be indispensable to your clients - Aim to become more than just a service provider. Build a deep understanding of your clients' needs and goals, and consistently exceed their expectations. Be proactive in anticipating their needs and offer solutions that go beyond what is expected.
