Fabrizio makes a point that I have made to many clients looking at private jet ownership; get the right pilots, period. I do not quite agree with his sentiment as far as empty legs as, at least in this part of the world, as there can be some great deals on very nice aircraft crewed by highly qualified, often ex-major airline pilots. And, to be fair, there are great pilots who’s only experience with major airlines has been in the back with the rest of the punters… … I’m making a generalization, but generally the point is correct… that’s why it’s called a generalization. A recent CL60 deal in fact was crewed by a friend of mine who was the head of flight standards for a major, and rather pedantic, air carrier. Major carriers, real major carriers, have extremely high standards from day one. They only hire the best, and their simulator checks range from tough, to very challenging. But, the points made by Fabrizio still stand. You’re spending many thousands, or tens of thousands on a charter… who’s up front? Double for purchasing your own aircraft. Like Fabrizio, we do not recommend pilots who we do not know personally, and we prefer pilots we have operated with specifically. And, for the most part, when I’m looking for a pilot for a client, that person has, or is still flying for a major carrier. They will keep you happy, safe, and alive… just pay them what their worth (like you do your lawyer).

"121 years ago, 12 seconds changed the world forever." On December 17th, 1903, the 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 took flight for the very first time. Just 12 seconds and 120 feet—a small moment that marked the start of modern aviation. Today, private jets cross oceans in hours, but the challenges have evolved: How do we make private aviation faster, smoother, and more client-focused? At The Private Jet App/Aviation Software, we’re tackling this next chapter. By combining technology with human connection, we’re helping operators and brokers streamline their clients experience—without losing the personal touch that aviation is all about! From that first flight to today, one thing remains true: progress happens when we dream beyond what’s "imaginable." Here’s to the dreamers—past, present, and future. Happy Wright Brothers Day! ✈️ #1903 #BizAv #WrightBrothers #Aviation #Fly

Compared to the lavish, high-design interiors of private jets, jet liveries have traditionally been more understated. ✈️ Many private fliers demand anonymity, while others, like heads of state and multinational corporations, prefer only subtle identifiers on their chosen aircraft. However, this is slowly changing as more airlines and charter service providers view the exterior as a canvas for creativity, which passengers really appreciate. In our experience, Falcon 7x/8x jets seem to feature the highest percentage of unique liveries, including striking all-black designs. Across our extensive network of fleets, we will always find the perfect jet that meets your needs both inside and out. ✨ Book your next charter at 👉 sales@skyllence.aero. #Skyllence #PrivateJetHire #CharterBroker #CharterFlights #Aviation #foranyadventure

Did you know? 🛬 Runway markings and lighting systems play a huge role in helping pilots land safely, especially in low-visibility conditions! Here's a quick comparison of CAT II+, CAT I, and Non-Precision Runways. 🔹 CAT II+ Runway: Advanced lighting and markings for low-visibility landings. 🔹 CAT I Runway: Basic precision approach with standard markings and lighting. 🔹 Non-Precision Runway: Minimal markings and no approach lights, often for clear-weather operations. A small difference on the ground makes a huge difference in the air! 🌟✈️

Have you booked your place yet for our Flight Operations Conference 2025: 'Single Pilot Operations - Logical Progression or a Step Too Far?' 💬 This event will gather , not necessarily to endorse the inevitability of SPO, but to encourage discussion of the topic and other developments such as eMCO (Extended Minimum Crew Operations) that may take place as traditional means of crewing are reviewed. 💡 We're looking forward to welcoming expert speakers from manufacturers, regulators, academics, operators and others to discuss this hot topic (not necessarily endorsing it), including Captain Glenn Bradley, Head of Flight Operations at the Civil Aviation Authority, who will join us to examine the core concept of #SinglePilotOperations and the balance of economic factors, technological advancements, regulatory changes, and operational challenges that the industry needs to consider. I'm going to defend these pilots (not condone) and yep, you might not like it. This was on a CHARTERED flight for the Colorado Rockies. They paid for the entire flight so no other passengers, so let's apply some common sense to both sides. I don't condone their actions, but no one should lose their career over this: Before 9/11, we always left the cockpit door open and often allowed people in the cockpit/flight deck. I flew many sports teams and often, players and managers asked to came up and have a quick look. We'd put the overhead speakers on and brief the passenger on being quiet during radio comms. Of all the "sports teams", the WWF wrestlers (now WWE), were the most respectful and appreciative. They were all required to be in a suit and tie in public (all the sports teams), but everyone took off ties once on board. The WWF wrestlers would put their tie and suitcoat back on before asking to see the flight deck. They'd sit quietly in one of the jumpseats, and were transformed into 12 year old boys. They'd tease me about being a chick in the cockpit and I'd tease them about having too many concussions. I'm a safety advocate and rule follower, but the joy of sharing this amazing moment can still be done safely during a charter flight because if not, you've let the terrorists win again... Pilots - it goes too far to let someone sit in the seat, ever. Period. I wouldn't even let anyone do it on the ground for fear of them hitting a switch. It's a yoga move to get into the seats. All the Part 135 charter pilots here are wondering what the big deal is since passengers have access in many/most twin turbine and bizjet aircraft. Everyone has been scolded, so let's get back to flying airplanes! Let's see who throws stones... #aviation United Airlines #commonsense #airplane #aircraft #fly #flight #charteredflight #sportteams #pilot #pilotlife #aviationindustry #learn #joy #share #pilottraining #airlinepilot #law #Federal Federal Aviation Administration #inspire #achickinthecockpit #smile #laugh #share #knowledgeispower #flightdeck #cockpit #airlines
