This morning the entire SEF-Technologies team gathered around a coffee and chocolatines for the second session of the "Vincent's physics minute". Today's topic: the atom part 1. the origins. Next session in a month with the Mendeleev table.

Quantum mechanics may seem confusing, but think of it like this - entangled particles are like your burger and fries in identical boxes at a diner. Opening one reveals the other, almost like magic. 🍔🍟 #quantumentanglement #physics #novelpricewinner #SchrödingersCat #energy #science #atom #qicoil #fyp #foryoupage

How dead is Schrödingers cat -or- how to lift the veil of quantum physics (somewhat) According to Schrödingers thought experiment the cat is dead and alive at the same time as long as the “box is locked”. A superposition of two contradictory properties As early as 1920, Einstein assumed (speech in Leiden) that, in addition to ponderable matter, there is an all-connecting "substance" that should not be imagined as time-dependent. If we pursue this idea further, matter and thus every atom also contains a time-independent variant. A superposition of two contradictory properties? What is the ruling principle of the universe? Some food for thought – more to come

Consider the following statements: 1. The Standard model of physics explains all the fundamental forces that explain the universe. 2. The Higgs Boson particle gives charge to Protons and neutrons. 3. The Higgs boson provides insights into dark matter and dark energy, which the standard model of physics fails to explain. How many of the statements given above are correct? (a) Only one (b) Only two (c) All three (d) None

We have all heard about the negative effects on labeling people. Whether the labels relate to someone’s personality, abilities, or social status, they can have profound effects on the way we perceive and interact with others. The following interesting article shows how these effects can be examined through the lens of quantum physics, offering a unique perspective on the power of labels. The size of an atom is incredibly tiny—measured in angstroms (10⁻¹⁰ meters)—making our existence a miracle in the ocean of microscopic interactions. 🌌🔬 Every structure we see, touch, or feel is made of countless atoms, bound together by forces that are constantly attracting and repelling each other. At the subatomic scale, particles like electrons are in perpetual motion, zipping around nuclei at astonishing speeds. ⚛️💨 These interactions form the basis of everything: from the stability of solid matter to the dynamic processes that power life itself. 🌿✨ Despite their size, the energy and motion within these atomic systems govern the macroscopic world we inhabit. This realization is humbling, showing us how our existence is intricately tied to the invisible, ceaselessly moving microcosm around us. 🌠🌍 #Physics #SubatomicWorld #Atoms #Science #QuantumMotion

In the children's classic, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," the titular character finds herself going through the looking-glass and into a world that's not unlike our own and not much like it, either. With this inspiration in mind, researchers have discovered monopole-based, ring-like vortexes and dubbed them "Alice rings." These phenomena could offer a tantalizing glimpse of a world that may be the topsy-turvy equivalent of ours. If this sounds complicated, that's because it is — quantum physics has a knack for being a bit more confusing than its nuclear, electric and thermodynamic counterparts. But we're not throwing in the towel just because the concept isn't crystal clear. Here's a rundown on monopole mechanics, Alice rings and the chances of opening a gateway to another dimension. Ready? Through the looking-glass we go! #quantum #wonderland #vortex #dimensions #vortex #rings #rabbithole https://lnkd.in/geQWNRbi
