Alert: There has been an uptick in reported imposter fraud. Imposter fraud occurs when individuals contact consumers falsely claiming to be trusted organizations to gain valuable personal information needed to perpetrate fraud. They may even appear to come from the organization’s phone number or email. Please keep reading to protect yourself, your identity, and your accounts. SECU will NOT contact you to request sensitive information, including one-time passcodes, online access credentials, card information, or your PIN. If someone appearing to be from SECU calls and asks for sensitive account information, DO NOT provide it. End their call right away. Then call the Credit Union’s Member Services Support at 888-732-8562 to report the incident. Get more information on how to protect yourself from fraud in the article, “How to Identify Imposter Scams & Robocalls,” available on the SECU Learning Hub: https://lnkd.in/encsuyQe
