Love, love, love this campaign from Lidl 👇🏻 In celebration of World Bee Day, Lidl has put together this brilliant initiative, which helps support pollinators. Here's what they've done: 1. They've launched these new Bee'rs (Free bottles of syrup, which can be put down to help revive exhausted bees). 2. They've donated £10K to the British Bee Charity, to provide learning materials to 500 schools, educating them on the importance of bees and bio-diversity. 3. They've set up a simple landing page, with tips on how you can help bees and other pollinators. A great campaign for a great cause.

Click through the link below and comment "Happy Birthday!" on our Reel to help Milton's support our nonprofit partner, The Birthday Party Project!
Today, Milton’s is celebrating 28 years of innovating delicious, better-for-you foods that everyone can enjoy! We are thrilled to celebrate our own brand anniversary in a way that supports and amplifies the incredible work done by our nonprofit partner, The Birthday Party Project. I’m excited to share that Milton’s will be donating $1 to The Birthday Party Project for every “Happy Birthday” comment posted now through May 17 on our Instagram Reel where we’re highlighting this amazing partnership and the joy we helped spread to kids in need. 🌟 Join Us for a Special Event This Friday! 🌟 Today, we’re excited to share a heartwarming story from one of our supporters and invite you to a special event hosted by Fortune Creek to support Kelowna's Gospel Mission. 🎉 Event Details: 📅 Date: Friday, June 28th 🕓 Time: 4-8 PM 📍 Location: 231 Bernard Ave Enjoy special performances by Dawson Gray + Guests, delicious treats like Famous Butter Tarts, fresh fruit milkshakes, pies, sausage, and more! ✨ Call to Action: Please bring food donations or cash. All contributions will support Kelowna's Gospel Mission. Here’s a story that highlights why we are the charity of choice for Fortune Creek: "I heard a story once that described the difference between Heaven and Hell: In Hell there was a huge table, on it was every food imaginable, and you were allowed to eat whatever you wanted, they only rule was you could not eat with your hands. People around Hells table were sad and hungry because the utensils they were forced to use we so large they could not hold it in their hands and feed themselves. So they starved. In Heaven they had the same huge table, with the same food, and the same large utensils. Similarly, you were allowed to eat whatever you wanted, provided you did not eat with your hands. But unlike Hell, they were laughing and smiling with full bellies of amazing food. How? Because rather than feed themselves, they fed each other. That’s why the utensils were so large to begin with and because they took care of each other’s needs, they flourished. The reason why we chose KGM is we believe community challenges require community solutions. The KGM is one the best initiatives to help support our growing and changing community’s needs. " Bring your family and friends for a wonderful time! We look forward to seeing you there! #SupportLocal #Kelownas #FortuneCreek #SpecialEvent #FamilyFriendly #CommunitySupport #LocalSupportGospelMission #CommunityEvent #GiveBack

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 Our dog shelter had a booth at a local street fair. We brought some dogs, some giveaways, some raffle items & a donation jar. A few of the volunteers walked around with the jar, but came up mostly empty. We did sell some raffle tickets. And when people took free stuff, we encouraged them to make a donation. Then I took the jar in one hand, dog on a leash in the other. And I just started striking up conversations with people passing by. Not about us, our mission, our needs. About whatever they seemed interested in. Their favorite team (given away by a t-shirt or cap) Where they worked (also given away by apparel) Whether they had a dog. Or I made jokes: "$100 to pet the dog" "Hey look, we've got a barcode for credit card donations in case you forgot your cash" Recap: I talked to people, joked around with them, treated them like normal humans. No awkward ask. And...I collected more than the rest of the team combined. Not because I’m a better fundraiser. Because I was not focused on raising funds. Now I realize this is transactional fundraising and not long-term major donor nurture… …but the point is 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. And those conversations can eventually lead to action. #fundraising #nonprofits P.S. Message me if you want to chat about how to build genuine relationships with donors and prospects based on their motivations, not yours. P.P.S. AI generated photo below.

We receive multiple calls and messages daily asking if we have any Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s, or Eagle Rare. The answer is: • Buffalo Trace? Occasionally, but not much unless someone shares a barrel they win with us. • Blanton’s and Eagle Rare? Maybe one bottle every 2–3 months, sometimes less. Here’s what we do with these type of bottles: • Put them out randomly without notice—so you may get lucky, you may not. • Put them out and make multiple social media posts letting everyone know they are “first come, first serve.” • Include them in allocated bourbon drawings to give everyone a fair shot. • Use them to raise donations for charities. Here’s what we don’t do: • We will never charge “museum prices.” • Sell above MSRP—even if you offer us extra to secure a bottle. (Yes, it happens) • Keep a list or save bottles for people. • Take bottles for ourselves. We don’t mind if you ask about these bottles—because if you don’t, the answer is already no. We are more than happy to answer any questions. To get more of these sought after bourbons we have to please allocation gods by selling as many non-allocated bottles as we can. I hear if a place sells a bunch of Wheatley Vodka they get more, not sure if that’s true but tough for us being a higher end bourbon store. Thank you for your continued support—Cheers! 🥃

Dollar Tree Dinners on Tik Tok is not only an absolute gem for helping people live with dignity by making videos on how to make make meals with food found at Dollar Tree Stores (including Thanksgiving dinner) but she hit the nail on the head with the video below. While I strongly believe most humans want to help others, it’s important to understand that not all help is beneficial and it’s important to understand and listen to those impacted. She mentions many things to consider specially around donating to others for the holidays but the highlights include not everyone has access to an oven (or a large enough oven) to cook the turkey you donated, turkeys are heavy and not everyone is able to carry a turkey from their fridge to the oven, and remember to take into consideration any additional items needed to make the food you donate like milk, butter, seasonings, pots or pans as not everyone has access. This message is not to discourage those from helping others but to remind everyone to take a step back to acknowledge any privilege that may come with your help and to make the necessary alterations so your help is beneficial. Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 #DollarTreeDinners #TikTok #Dignity #socialimpact #donations

Volunteering a few hours a week can be so fulfilling…you meet new people and gain new skills, if you’re just starting out it helps with work experience and gaining a job…if you’re retired it helps keep the brain healthy and active…whilst the charity you volunteer for gains the asset that is you!! They then convert that to helping those in need = a win win situation! Consider what you can do with a couple of hours, you’ll be surprised at the rewards you gain, plus there’s free tea and coffee & biscuits, and in the winter you save on the heating bill whilst you’re there!!! #volunteering #makeadifference #charity #salvationarmy #volunteersweek
