May is mental health awareness month. And it's been busy. I've been quiet on LinkedIn, because I've been busy having conversations in the real world about one of the topics I'm most passionate about: mental health. I was recently asked down to Kildare by Bord na Móna to be a keynote speaker at their annual conference, and what a great day it was. We learned about: ✅ What mental health means to us in a fast paced work environment ✅ How we can be more inclusive of people with different backgrounds when we approach all conversations with kindness ✅ Why it's important that we ALL make a bigger effort to talk about mental health ✅ How to start conversations about mental health earlier and easier ✅ Some simple tips and tricks to use at work to normalise these conversations ✅ How to be more mindful of our own mental health on a daily basis ✅ How to build in micro steps during the working day for our own wellbeing, and that of our teams We all have mental health, so lets all take responsibility to start more conversations about it. It doesn't have to be a deep dive, or a counselling session.
