Beginning of November marks my 2 years work anniversary at Airbus Defence & Space - it is a great momentum to reflect what have been the greatest lessons learned so far ✨ 💡 Networking & Building relationships - In a global business it is a must to build the network and relationships with your colleagues & peers across the globe but also with other stakeholders such as suppliers and even governmental actors. Networking and reaching out to people have been really easy and I have found out how much we have competence, expertise and knowledge inside the business and organisation. Colleagues have been sharing a lot of their expertise with me. When you know who to contact and who can guide, help and support you, a job is so much easier to do. The colleague network also provides a lot of laughter and positive energy to the days. 💡 Communication - Communication in all its forms is definitely a basis of almost everything. When communicating for a diverse group of people you can’t necessarily rely on everyone understanding the topic in a similar way. So communicating clearly and sharply with confidence helps to prevent misunderstandings. Active listening by paying full attention to the conversation is as important and really needed to understand in-depth topics. 💡 Fostering continuous learning - When starting in Airbus Defence & Space I entered a totally new area of business that I had no experience earlier, so it has been really essential to keep learning continuously. Rolling up my sleeves and putting myself out, being curious on the topics, asking questions, asking feedback for myself and fostering the culture of open dialog has been the key for me. To keep living up the continuous learning I have jumped into something totally new - being part of the Employer advocacy team as one of the #airbassador. I will be sharing a bit of my work life, so now is an excellent time to learn about the work we do and especially themes around #supplychainmanagement and #leadership. Finding my dream job was anything but a straight path. Like many, I imagined a clear trajectory—school, internships, and a seamless transition into my ideal role.
