Microsoft Edge browser will soon introduce a 'scareware blocker,' that uses AI to detect tech support scams when a webpage loads/displays. Nowadays these can be quite vexing to work your way out of because the 'popups' essentially take over the entire webpage, and resist efforts to escape the popup. This can wind up with victims interacting with the scam popup's phone number. I prepared a PDF (attached) that essentially summarizes what would be happening.
