There seems to be an epidemic of everyone hiring, but no one getting hired. There are thousands of prospective employees; eager to work and often qualified for these positions, but if the standard is competing for highly skilled professionals who aren't looking because they already have jobs; then everyone losses.
I get it they recruit for large companies but the problem isnt that there aren't jobs available. There are. They just wont hire. There is one large organization, which has used several recruiters, including Robert Half, just on LinkedIn alone they get over 100 hit, I'm not saying I'm the greatest in the world but I know I more than exceed then minimum expectations, and yet it just keeps getting reposted, 5 times now, without an interview or even a kiss off letter. So there aren't a lack of jobs. There are a lack of employers willing to even try and interview qualified individuals, much less hire them.
I am also experienced professional in IT industry interested to do work in areas like testing, technical support, development etc
Based on my own experience and that of my daughter (college graduate) the corporate hiring process has been dysfunctional for a long time - fake job openings, ghosting etc. Maybe it just reflects the general lack of courtesy in the business world. (My experience and that of my daughter does not involve Robert Half, btw.)

I also feel that companies should look beyond a certain number of experience for entry level positions. Not all experience is work related, and some of us are educated and very quick learners. It would be nice to not automatically get rejected due to not having the specific experience, even though I have the know-how.

1moCould it be because search criteria are so narrow that they prohibit recruiters from thinking in a transverse manner, preventing them to transpose skills from one job to another instead of « copy pasting » roles ans people? Could it be because experience is outrageously overlooked? Could it be because of strong biases in the industry ?
