This workshop on overcoming generational clashes at work was fascinating! As an educational leader, I am interested in learning about: 🌉Bridging communication gaps: How can different generations better understand each other's preferred communication styles? 🏋🏼♀️Leveraging strengths: How can workplaces harness the unique strengths of each generation to build stronger teams? 🤝Fostering a culture of inclusion: What strategies can create a work environment where everyone feels valued, regardless of age? I loved the discussion about how to deal with team members who don't put in an equal effort. The speakers offered insightful ideas on how to address this challenge, particularly relevant to motivating team members (or students) who might not be putting in the same level of effort. 💡 What are your biggest challenges when it comes to working across generations? 🤔 #GenerationalDiversity #FutureOfWork #EmployeeEngagement #EducationalLeadership Thanks to Joe, Inge, Yves, and the amazing speaker lineup for putting this together!"

A secret sauce to lead your team better than 99% of people. Patience -"Great leaders are patient. Give your team the time they need to succeed". When you have a mission, how do you translate that into giving your team the patience they need to succeed? To "watch the grass grow, one blade at a time"? I’ve spent years pretending to be a Zen master while secretly googling "How to be more patient as a leader." Here’s what I’ve discovered (after much trial and hilarious error): 1. Breathing (Every Moment) Start with deep, calm breaths (and maybe a stress ball). Because your team’s success isn’t a "me" outcome — it’s a "we" outcome. 2. Listening (When They Talk) Ears open, mouth shut. Repeat after me: "I'm listening." It’s amazing what you learn when you're not planning your rebuttal. 3. Waiting (For Results) Patience isn't just a virtue; it's a waiting game. And no, snapping fingers doesn’t speed things up. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is...wait. 4. Encouraging (Always) Support, cheer, and if all else fails, bake cookies. Good vibes (and sugar) fuel progress. I’m sharing my entire journey to master the art of leading with patience in tomorrow’s newsletter. How I went from impatient boss to patient, supportive leader (with a cookie addiction along the way). 😍 Sign up to read it and discover how you can give your team the time they need to thrive: https://lnkd.in/eS-PX9_y How do you practice patience as a leader?
