April is World Autism Month, also known as Autism Acceptance Month! 🌈♾️ This month is dedicated to celebrating the experiences of individuals with autism and promoting inclusion, moving beyond awareness to acceptance. 59% of the individuals we serve at SDRC are diagnosed with autism, and we’re proud to support them every day. Show your support: ✔️ Wear blue, the rainbow, or gold! Blue represents autism awareness, and the rainbow or gold ("Au" on the periodic table) infinity symbol celebrates the diversity of the autism spectrum or neurodiversity. ✔️ Support businesses owned by individuals on the spectrum. ✔️ Learn & engage! This year’s theme is: Advancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ✔️ Talk about autism and neurodiversity with people beyond the disability community.
